on prop 8 and elephantman

marriage is a legal CONTRACT that grants federal and state benefits and protections, etc.

Religious marriage? churches can love it, leave it, preach hate against it, not recognize it, go f**k themselves, whatever.

The Mormons have been POURING money in CA trying to get prop 8 to pass and imprint the CA constitution with hate and discrimination.

The previous poster was right - if anyone could donate even $10 to the cause.

Marriage it is a contract. legally you cannot allow some people to enter into a contract and not others - that's discrimination. and i still wonder how the defense of marriage act holds up under the full faith and credit clause? can someone help me understand that? it seems to me to be patently unconstitutional.

gay marriage isn't an "issue" it's a right that involves people, children, families.

On this issue (as well as many others) go fuck yourself elephantman. If the people had their choice, women wouldn't be allowed to vote, blacks and whites couldn't marry and we'd still have separate but equal.

homophobia is hate and ignorance. period.

jesus - it's almost 2009. really? this is still an issue? REALLY?

trolls/republicans

How can anyone be proud of being a republican. Between this stupid c**t, the violent, ignorant racists yelling hate at rallies, the lies McCain and Palin spew, Bush destroying the country, republicans doing everything they can to suppress votes and purge voter rolls...the hate, the lying, the hate, the lying..

How can you support this? How can you look in the mirror? How can you be proud of belonging to this group of people? Your party has no honor or integrity nor do your candidates.

I can tell you, if I belonged to a group of people that started spewing the lies and hate of your party, I'd change parties. It's one of the reasons I supported Obama over Hillary in the primaries because I was a little disgusted with her tactics.

You are disgusting. Every one of you. Grow a pair, fight fair, win fair. But no, you have to lie, cheat and steal.

HOw did this bitch get elected??

She's off limits only if she SHUTS THE F**K UP ON THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL

She can't go spouting shit off like she does against Obama and be totally off limits.

Also, Keating 5? Relevant.

Stealing drugs but somehow gets off scott-free. Relevant.

And if McCain is going around saying how gays shouldn't be allowed to get married or adopt - if he's going to stick his nose into others business in those areas? They are absolutely ON LIMITS.

Glenn, you're awesome. How bad (meaning scope) is the republican effort to not allow people to vote?

I'd like to see articles on every front page about how they are trying to supress votes, how they are pussies and have to cheat to win, and what people can do to MAKE SURE their vote is counted. Are Obama lawyers on top of this?

Cindy vs Michelle

I have seen and read where Cindy has spoken out in public specifically, by name, against Obama. So she put herself out there and thus is not off limits.

Michelle has spoken too, yes. I don't know the answer to this. Has she spoken publicly, specifically against McCain? Or are her speeches about ppl voting FOR her husband?

In my mind, when it come to politics, there's a big difference. If you attack someone you deserve to get attacked back.

If Cindy Keeps Spouting Off Against Obama in a Public Forum

She is ON LIMITS. Just as Michelle Obama would be, but I don't recall her using the big mike to speak against McCain - though I could be wrong about that.

If she only spoke FOR McCain without talking shit about Obama, fine. But she's attacking Obama and therefore she is fair game to attacks.

Now, this particular article may or may not have relevant info, but she is not off limits as long as she inserts herself into the campaign like she is.

@ weeping

I think the Buchanan on McCain's staff is Pat's sister. They're interchangeable on their whacked idiology.

I wish people would start saying

Obama is as equally white as he is black. So we could just as easily call him a white guy as a black guy.

That's what we need to say to the idiots. Powell is also voting for a white guy.

@ JPresley

When Obama wins, that other chunk can honestly go fuck themselves.

Oh please

We know who is responsible for the anthrax attacks after 9/11 and we know who's repsonsible for these - someone in the Bush administration.

And if there was ever a real investigation into this as opposed to the bullshit investigations - it would all come out.

Funny how I've never seen ONE story where the machine "accidentally" voted for Obama

Why is it than when the machines fuck up it's the people who want to vote for Obama but it "accidentally" registers McCain. I can't believe this bullshit is happening again. People - STAND IN LINE. Your employer HAS to let you.

Also, I hope that bastard Scalia leaves this earth soon (but not before nov 4th). He's a disgrace and all that is wrong with the current Supreme court.

non-equal negatives

There's negative truth, and negative lies. McCain runs negative lies. PLEASE stop making it sound like all negatives are equal.

Someone should remind McCain about his performance at the town-hall structured debate

He SUCKED IT.

He is a dishonerable prick.

Race will have NO effect on the outcome

It's bullshit. I have never known or met one democrat who is a racist. Not one. The racists belong to the republican party and therefore would never vote for Obama anyway.

And we all know republicans are trying their best to supress the vote. but now we KNOW it.

TAKE YOUR VIDEO CAMERAS OR USE THE VIDEO ON YOUR CELL PHONES TO THE POLLS. DO NOT LEAVE UNTIL YOU ARE SATISFIED THAT WHO YOU VOTED FOR WAS PROPERLY MARKED. If it takes an hour for a poll worker to fix it - then so be it.

Wait in line as long as it takes. A few hours is much shorter than 4 years of palin/mccain (the order is on purpose)
