Ben 'NO' Nelson is a good party go-fer.
[Read the article: For Nebraska's Nelson, Mukasey is the trifecta]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How many people were in that poll, 5? We are stuck with him though, for two reasons only: Nebraskans don't have a clue of what's going on anywhere else and Diebold, Republican PACs and Hagel have that state locked up tight -with Nelson happily acting as a filler for a valuable 'D' Senate seat. Most states have at least one Democrat, but not Nebraska.
Nebraska ranks 38th in a population count and isn't exactly a tourist mecca or business hub, yet when his seat was challenged in 2006 according to opensecrets.org, Nelson received more contributions than most of the other 99 Senators in all of the US.
If you've ever observed this guy on the floor he'll insult your sense of duty as much as Lieberman does.
He stands around like a tick waiting for the next free meal, waiting until the last minute to vote and then placing his vote next to that of Hagel or McCain -whoever is the party favorite at that moment.

'Blitz' should have stayed home and watched Tim Gunn.
[Read the article: What you missed while watching "Project Runway"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This is the second bullsh** of an unbalanced CNN debate where I again wanted the slap the sh** out of Blitzer and Malveaux.
First, I absolutely believe CNN rigged this to allow Bill and Hillary -(get it?)- to stand out and shine.
1. Neither Bill Richardson or Hillary were ever given tough question directly, rather the Blitzkrieg and Malveaux continually set up Obama and Edwards -Hillary's two opponents, to argue Hillary's weak points themselves, and get booed as a result.
2. Notice Clinton's head bobbing every time bill spoke??
3. CNN was blatantly unbalanced in their time distribution -Richardson got more time than all other candidates and in all other debates. And Hillary was set up to have plenty of time to 'answer' her critics charges.
4. You note that at minute marker number 80, the audience questions began. Only 4 questions were asked over the next 46 brain damaging minutes. Note the questions selected:
a. one was the smiley face who wanted to direct her question to Bill and, wish him a Happy Birthday.
b. the second was on SS and Medicare -setting up Obama's plan as a "tax increase" said Blitz, versus Hillary's tax free plan.
c. the third, on immigration and drivers licenses where again Hill got to save her ass with a big flipping "NO", while her future running mate said YES -offering that middle WTF balanced ticket
d. and one was a soft question from a Mom and her son, about to take his 4th tour, and worrying about Iran.
Where Hillary now acknowledges the importance of talking and diplomacy.
Just like George did before he launched 'shock and awe'.

How's about that crappy WSJ poll ...
[Read the article: WSJ Op-Ed page decries hatred of the president]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...shooting out of their other end.
NBC/WSJ Poll
Bush approvals on 11-5-07 ..31%
Disapprove .................63%
http://www.pollingreport.com/BushJob.htm
That biased Left wingers at the WashPo give Bush a higher approval than his own WSJ Right wing colleagues.
Oh the shame!

Here's a key indicator/litmus test ...
[Read the article: How would Barack Obama handle foreign policy?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Last summer Senator Diane Feinstein offered up legislation seeking a moratorium on the use of cluster bombs -only in civilian areas. This legislation came in direct response to the outrage over Israel dropping 400,000 cluster bomblets on Lebanon
in the last three days of a 34 day long war and right before a ceasefire was to commence.
Most of the world was behind Feinstein's ammendment. So was Barack Obama.
Hillary Clinton joined with Joe Lieberman, a few other Dems, and all of the Republicans to vote against the ammendment..

Iowa sees the same thing I do...
[Read the article: Obama edges up in Iowa]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wolf Blitzer's sarcastic snarky attitude to Edwards -and Obama in particularly, brought out something Wolf and Hillary surely didn't expect.
Obama was more interested in giving careful and concise answers than to play beat the clock and win a few media brownie points.
He doesn't shoot first and ask questions later. Hallef%$#ingleujah!
As a strong woman myself, I wouldn't give two cents to Hillary's campaign nor will I vote fore her under any circumstances for one reason: she's clearly sold herself out.
Does she really believe we need to keep using those toylike child-maiming cluster cluster bombs in poor civilian areas?
Or did she cast that vote last summer to appease her campaign donors?
That's not strength, that's prostitution.
(no dis to prostitutes)

Islamic Madrassa teachings of hate and prejudice ...
[Read the article: How would Barack Obama handle foreign policy?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...have their white counterparts right here in our own backyard.
Some of the most notable posters here like --elephanthead and alicengerty --push the 'no carrots' but just every dirty trick and stick and sanction and punishment and torture tactic and cluster bomb and DPD tipped missile from the Bush/Cheney manual on foreign policy, and you think everyone else is bad??
You aren't anywhere near as 'special' or different...or better ..than they are after all. So get over yourselves.
Just to give you further proof of your own brutality -you Southern Right wingers especially -America is the only nation in the entire world with laws publicly approving and allowing the execution of juveniles.
You and your Fox friends like to hide behind the moral chant of 'protecting children', when in fact you approve of killing them. Here and abroad.

Obama will get most of the Gore vote.
[Read the article: Numbers of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]With Gore's recent move officially ending all hopes of him running I suspect you'll see his supporters shifting to the only alternative -Barack Obama.
I know because I'm one of them.
Once having thought Obama was the perfect choice for Gore's VP, I've watched Obama, under the bullying taunts of jerks like Wolf Blitzer, still remain careful and thoughtful before responding.
A trait Bush and Clinton and this Congress are devoid of.
