Lieberman, like Petraeus serve higher masters.
[Read the article: Lieberman to Petraeus: Your critics should be cheering]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Why did the Democrats flock to military heroes like Hagel and Webb and Powell, and the old McCain?
Because they're the kind of U.S. military leaders the country and the world deserve. Had someone like Powell or Hagel been at the helm in Iraq the Dems and the country would be there 100% for anything they needed.
It would have been a done deal.
Joe ought to be ashamed for allowing an spoiled idiot to take charge of real soldiers with real guns.
To further prove how Petraeus is selling out his troops, and I now applaud the MoveOn ad after hearing these two dissembling hacks, in an answer to a question from Thune the General actually said "...the Ministor of the Interior is 'struggling'...."
Struggling?
The Jones and GAO report, as well as every other article I've seen, were unanimous in their joint condemnation of how completely corrupt and out of control the Ministry of the Interior is. And how Petraeus's hired mercenary trained 300,000+ forces are so heavily infiltrated by criminals and insurgents, and death squads, no one trusts them. The Ministor also runs his own show. If he's 'struggling', it's probably with all the stolen money and weapons, as well as personal property stolen from all the dead.
But that mercenary 'out-sourcing' is working real well for you, ain't it Joe?
They are, after all just muslims.

He he had to be zapped..
[Read the article: Know your rights: The Kerry Taser incident]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The student rightfully was zapped only when he began to flail his arms and physically fight back--he definitely resisted leaving the room.
A fair and reasonable use of the Taser and good job by the police.
(And I haven't said that in a LONG time)
It was also clear from the audiences and police reaction that they anticipated fight by the speaker.
And Kerry himself, acted fair and PRESIDENTIAL towards the irate student. (One who came from a true extremist side of politics, most likely from the LaRouch crowd)
And Kerry knows something about irate students.
OK? So why aren't the headlines reflecting that side of the incident??

Oh the hell with what Fox says..
[Read the article: Quote of the Day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Here's a more important BREAKING NEWS story about "Fox and their friends":
SENATE REJECTS DC VOTING RIGHTS!
This bastion of dried up old racists, with a few Democrats thrown in couldn't come up with 60 lousy votes to pass the bill.
If this doesn't prove racism is alive and better than ever since Bush deliberately woke up the old dark skinned phobias, with his war on Muslims.
THE CONFEDERATE FLAG HAS REPLACED 'OUR' FLAG AND IS NOW THE RULING SYMBOL OF TODAYS AMERICA!
Great job, George!

Senator Graham had one good idea...
[Read the article: A bipartisan end to the war? Fat chance]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Graham is on the floor bloviating in unison with McCain, but he did have one interesting comment.
The anti-troop relief gang are about to offer another useless oxy-moronic 'Sense of the Senate' resolution to counter the Webb/Hagel amendment.
DEMOCRATS, ARE YOU AWAKE??
Because ol' Lindsey also said this:
"..Our troops deserve a Commander in Chief who knows what he is doing."
Now that, would be a 'Sense of the Senate' resolution for the history books!
-
Reid and Hoyer are the worstest leaders, ever.
[Read the article: Next time, try tapping your foot]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]These are two pathetic back room type guys with zero credibility, and, if they really care about the future of the country and the party, they will step the f$#@ down Now.
It's unfathomable to believe that these 'leaders' have managed to not only kill Howard Dean's party momentum and excitement, but drag the party down to an almost comatose state of awareness while it gives up all it's power to Bush.
Reid laughingly says the White House is "just too powerful"??
Sure ...while he lays in Cheney's bed blowing smoke rings.
Harry's epitaph is already written:
"I handed the Senate over to Joe Lieberman."

One of her few good moves...
[Read the article: Dianne Feinstein, symbol of the worthless Beltway Democrat]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You're C-span Book-tv forum with CATO made me a big fan of yours. Had Congress one inch of your willingness to stand your ground, we'd be ....well, probably exactly where we are now in one form or another with this group of Congressional insiders cooking their own books.
The weakened elders of the Senate, like Feinstein and Reid, aside from all the facts you've correctly cited, are just plain anti-progressive -because they're just too old and just want to stick to there dried toast every morning.
Warner proved my meaning when he double-crossed Senator Webb on the Iraq vote.
Does anyone really believe he would have voted the same way if he stayed in the Senate?
But I have another, concurring reason for the failure of the Senate's inability to act responsibly lately, and I'd like your opinion:
One bright moment in Feinstein's career, that I wholeheartedly applauded, happened last summer.
After Israel's dump of over 400,000 cluster bomblet's during the last three days of the Lebanon/Israeli war, the Senator sponsored legislation to place a moratorium on the use of cluster bombs, only in civilian areas. She had the majority of the world backing her, including the Red Cross.
A handful of Democrats, including Hillary Clinton, joined with all of the Republicans to vote against her.
First, I hope this haunts Clinton into the ground, but secondly, it's almost this same group of Democrats, give or take a few, repeatedly crossing over to join with the right.
When those Democrats support hard line extremist positions, they get a free pass from the media.
While we, the people, who fight them, are now considered and labeled insurgents, by them. And it gets the attention, instead.
And so, Syria gets bombed while everyone just munches away on their toast. And a half a dozen other disputes are ready to blow....while Congress more jam.
Are we now governed by some new bi-partisan 'global constitution, that American citizens aren't aware of?
We American 'insurgents' have the right to know.
