I got yer smart guys right here!
[Read the article: "I know who the smart people in America are"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]What a great visual to see Keith Olbermann and Al Gore together last night on Keith's show 'Countdown'.
Both in their prime goin' head on. WOW!
Keith really worked the big question from several angles, but never got a direct definitive answer. It was great practice for Gore, because as someone with delicate Gore-dar I'm convinced, and so is he, that he's probably going to run.
Keith heard it was 50/50. I saw 70/30.
After the Congressional hearing I felt just the opposite.
But now, after listening to him these past weeks with his new book 'Assault on Reason', he's campaigning from within.
He just doesn't want, (or need) to do the more public 'candidate' thing.
There's still time for him to play.
And I'm starting to wanna be involved, again.
Shit!

Wolf was ridiculous.
[Read the article: Dodd attacks Blitzer on time]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Dodd had good reason to complain. Wolf, a guy with an already nasty slanted personality, took it upon himself to waste precious time by re-formatting then repeating every question asked by others into more of an individual attack.
CNN itself had already turned into more of an instigator, than a reporter of facts. Wolf tried to do the same with the debate.
He clearly gave Obama and Hillary open microphones. And was very unfair to Kucinich and Dodd.

And I'd rather have a beer with Ahmadinejad.
[Read the article: Lieberman: I could "definitely" support a Republican in 2008]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]To: wysiwyg
I would suggest that the overwhelmingly Republican American 'citizens in Connecticut actually did vote for everything Israeli when they chose to vote for Joe. Joe=war.
And we know how the right just loves to make war.
Coincidentally the same 35% percentage of war mongering right wingers also exist in Israel.
So, lets spread the thanks for AyatollahJoe around to include the following:
*Schumer and Reid for blocking contributions and DSCC support from Lamont and allowing Joe to use and keep his seniority to now kick the Left in the balls.
"Boxer, Salazar, Clinton and Obama for supporting Lieberman over Lamont. (Clinton actually played them both, and Obama chickened out for a scheduled key Lamont rally.)
*Hoyer and his Emanuelle for reinforcing Joe's pro-war, pro-oil, anti-Iran provision positions in the House.
Gore is #3 now in the polls. For damn good reason.
Wouldn't that be the greatest kick in the ass to have Gore override Joe and this weak-kneed Congress?
I will ONLY vote for Gore now, and no other.

Results depend on how the question was asked..
[Read the article: Majority of Americans favor Cheney impeachment]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Now if the question came from the brilliant minds of any of those infamous political strategists or research groups like Hart's, it might go like this:
"Would you pay $5.00 to first impeach then shoot a water gun into Cheney's mouth till his head explodes?"
'Yes on Impeachment' would win in a landslide.

Bush has created a worldwide nationalist movement ..
[Read the article: "We are in the land of the blood feuds"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In a recent interview the governor of the North-West Frontier Providence of Pakistan told reporters that George Bush has now destroyed a small window of co-operation with the Muslim community after 9-11.
Bush's failure to achieve any of his early objectives against Osama, Al-Qaeda and the Taliban has, after 5 bloody and fruitless years, not only strengthened all three of those targets, and escalated the opium production which helps fund them, but has backfired dramatically into newly created nationalist movements where entire populations are now anti US, he said.
No one, citizen or foreigner, friend or foe, wants to side with President George Bush's team.
Accordingly, the front line of terrorism starts and ends in the Bush run White House.

Olbermann is absolutely right.
[Read the article: Losing bin Laden]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Every time Bush needs a fix, someone's got to plant a boogeyman somewhere, to pop out at just the right time.
And coincidentally with just the right talking points.
Does anyone seriously believe Osama only has 'messages' for Americans when Bush's poll numbers drop?
There's a very nasty secretive and naughty boy somewhere in the Administration, probably working for Dick.
We'll find out soon enough. (
But the sheeply Senate Democrats once again fall for another of the Right's 'your fly is open' tricks, and respond to this new threat with true Democratic force .... by doubling Osama's bounty.
Hey Harry, Joe Lieberman said you're a pussy!

"What political reconcilliation".
[Read the article: Awaiting Petraeus: The reality check]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I hope Salon and everyone else one screams about Petraeus never once mentioning 'political reconcilliation' in his opening remarks. It was his sole mandate for f#@!s sake!
And Crocker?? Just another front office stooge: useless and powerless. But his Al-Qaeda horror stories were a nice Rovian touch--especially the one about the cuting off of fingers. Not as sensational as the incubator babies of olde, but he tried his best.
This was all Petraeus's show.
And as in 'The Jerk', the General seems to be dumbfounded by his surge's real 'special purpose'.
Instead he did as he was told and wrote twos essays for his audience: one on "Iran, Iran and death to Iran" and "How Al-Queda ate Iraq".
You think Petraeus as honorable as Congress did?
Explain why he is giving an exclusive interview--to FOX.
And, one last thing, does anyone doubt this Congress knew it would end up this way, all along?
