Oh, please. Spare us these useless 'Congressional hearings'..
[Read the article: Extreme acts of animal cruelty]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The one statement Trent Lott made that I agree with, is how empty and ineffective hearings are. The same question over and over keeps asking "What lessons can be learned", proving Congress is exactly as big of a dead end as Obama says it is.
I have news for the Humane Society and Congress, this stuff happens everywhere, all the time.
A very close friend of mine, and some one I rode with on occasion is a trucker from El Centro California. We picked up the bloated cattle from the filthy jammed feed lots and delivered them to slaughter houses.
Many of the cattle died or went down in the packed trucks from the heat or illness and had to be dragged off the trucks by their necks or whichever part of the animals body was closest to the exit. They were all processed together.
The entire process is tainted, and dead and rotting cattle are used. And keep Congress out of it. It's bullsh** to suggest that the best answer is to just kill all the allowable bacteria by cooking into oblivion before you eat it.
I would suggest 24/7 cameras, just as the police use. For every politician at the table add one Humane Society Rep and one scientist with a mocroscope and a food tester.
There is only one standard that should be applied:
When you can eat a medium rare hamburger or a rare steak again and not get sick, you can sell your beef to the public.
And make the stockmen do the taste testing.

You ask a man???
[Read the article: Should I get my breasts enlarged?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Let's put this all in a nutshell, OK, by answering these two questions, as I did a while back:
1. Are you attracting just a bunch of a**-holes right now?
2. Would you like a sh**-load more of them?
Good luck!

SNL framed the right Clinton question..
[Read the article: Is it really time to count Clinton out?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]This may be Hillary's Gary Hart moment -she's taunting everyone to watch SNL. Hillary is screaming the blues and asks all her potential donors to watch Saturday Night Live and see 'poor Hillary' is abused by the media.
OK, I watched. The first sketch about 'Obama girl' was funny, and I might say poor Hillary too, if that were the truth. But it isn't -the media stopped reporting on her when they learned she didn't even bother to vote.
But then came a second sketch.
A Tina and Amy episode where they -as very strong women- came out blatantly and personally for Hillary. Including asking Texas and Ohio to help Hillary. That's Hillary's idea of abuse??
They used the same word to describe the three of them that I use to proudly describe myself at times, 'bitch'. "Us bitches get thing's done", they said. The skit compares how Catholic Nuns were knuckle tapping tough too -but you learned the Capital of Vermont didn't you?
Now, if we really could physically knock some sense into the Republicans and beat them into submission, or if they refuse to yield -just throw them out in the hallway, then Hillary you got my vote.
But, until we pack the courts with more bitches - we need to use a little more honey in our approach.
Unfortunately.

Maybe she could use a hot water bottle..
[Read the article: Clinton alleges pro-Obama slant in debate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]...or a screwdriver??
She projects a mechanical coldness most people just don't like. Period. We know she's tough -that's not an issue.
People have all the cold bitchiness they can stand after 7 years of George, Dick and Karl...
Every time she whines she hurts herself - because she's drawing attention away from the 'tough' side toward the 'bitch' side.
The reporters immediately tallied up her claims of who was asked the first question -she was only one up over Obama.
She's gotten terrible advice -but if she's stupid enough to keep repeating their same mistakes over and over - the buck stops with her.
Geez, give the the woman a pre-show drink next time if that's what it takes.
How do you think most of us bitches would survive without a little substance adjustment to reveal our warm fuzzy inner selves to others.
We're all like black widows, so deal with it Hillary!

Uh.. before she blasts off , the law may wish a few words..
[Read the article: Clinton looks to the heavens for victory]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary the lawyer, is being duped by schizophrenic Hillary the snake oil salesman.
Here's an interesting contract for you legal schmegel types to review:
Hillary just made this verbatim offer to thousands of people in her Fort Worth campaign speech, and possibly other speeches with thousands more people:
" I'll make a contract with you, if you vote for me I will do my best ...as President.. for you."
If a politician make a verbal 'contract' like that can that politician/Hillary be held in breach when either (a.)she doesn't become President or (b.)she does become President but screws the voters the same way the recent Democratic leaders in Congress did.
Either way, it is a lack of performance and thus a breach of contract on her part, correct. Not exactly is the answer because we'll we spend forever in court arguing over the meaning of "my best"!
That sounds like a Columbia House deal I once got suckered into, and am still paying for!

And...??
[Read the article: Obama advisor Power resigns]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]She made a mistake, as Bill did, only he made several. Did Bill quit??
I would hardly call one error from such a brilliant woman - a liability.
Was Hillary jealous of her and of of Obama' brilliant staff?
Is that why she needs to call a press conference -to whine some more?
Joan, your a woman. Why haven't you commented -maybe the next time you're on with Matthews you'll do this - on the fact that Obama's campaign is dominated by bright, fresh top women advisors??
While Clinton -the 'womens' candidate -is dominated by longtime male Clinton staffers.
Every whine, and 'African American' comment makes me actually start to despise them both -because they sound more like extremist Right wingers every day.
-
She should not have quit!!
[Read the article: Obama advisor Power resigns]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]As an ardent Obama supporter -THIS IS A SERIOUS ERROR!
No one in the Obama campaign has done anything worthy of a dismissal, and, such a wonderful advisor should have been fought for!
This is sumbission!
Don't start going passive on me now... damnit!!
