Religion has very little to do with God, and God has absolutely nothing to do with religion.

Religion has very little to do with God, and God has absolutely nothing to do with religion. People like Sarah Palin use God to claim power. They are not people of faith, they use people of faith.

This woman did everything she could possibly do to cause her baby to be still born. She may not believe in abortion, but taking an 8 hour plane trip to Alaska after her water had broken, and then driving two hours to a rural doctor who could not have saved a baby in danger was not the actions of a woman concerned about the safe birth of her child.

Sarah Palin and John McCain have no trouble lying - I said thanks but no thanks - not exactly the habits of a Christian. Jesus called on us to help the less fortunate and said to whom much is given much is expected - exactly counter to the republican mantra. The wealthy in this country pay the lowest total taxes as a percentage of income of any class except the extremely poor. Billionaire hedge fund managers had a special 15% MAXIMUM tax rate. There is nothing Christian about the Republican agenda. It is about greed and enslavement, nothing else.

Palin Pick Confirms McCain's Judgment

Palin Pick Confirms McCain's Judgment is crap. Sarah Palin is as far as one can be form being qualified for Vice-President. A year and a half ago, her greatest political achievement was being the mayor of a town of about 6,500 people. One year into being Governor of Alaska she is under investigation for abuse of power for personal reasons.

Her position on abortion is to the right of the Popes, believing that is wrong in every case, including rape, incest and the life of the mother. She believes global warming, evolution and sexual orientation are all part of a vast left wing conspiracy. No one could be less tolerant of those different form themselves than this woman.

But the biggest problem with the Palin pick is not that most Americans would consider her to be a nut job - it is that given all the choices McCain could have made, he made this one. He barely knows her, and it is clear he knows very little about her other than she is a former beauty queen and the not very attentive mother of five. This mirrors the greatest flaw of George W. Bush. Bush's shoot from the hip, ask questions later attitude has gotten this country into the worst position it has been in since the great depression. McCain promises no improvement in policy or judgment.

Nice to hear

It's nice to hear some good news that if man does not survive our foolish games of self-destruction, the world may be okay. Or maybe an Eden would emerge for the very few remaining human descendants who will foolishly think they are the first man and woman on earth. They could create their individual Gods in their remote locations and then when they meet, they can begin killing each other all over again.

Palin and Enormous and Stupid Mistake for McCain, Republicans

Two years ago, Palin was mayor of a town with about 6,500 people. When asked about Iraq, she said she had not given it much thought, being so absorb in her job as mayor of this smaller than hamlet bump in the road.

She has been Governor just 1-1/2 years of Alaska a state with almost no industry other than oil and fishing and a population less than that of small to mid-size American city. She not only has no foreign policy experience, she has no interest in foreign policy.

She opposes women's rights, gay rights and minority rights. She actively and vociferously opposed raising the minimum wage. She opposes abortion even in cases of rape, incest, and the life of the mother. She is an acolyte of Pat Buchanan, the man who thinks Hitler was right. She is not right wing, she is freakishly far right.

Someone told McCain he needed a woman on the ticket. Passing over many much more qualified women show McCain only values women as sex objects. Other than being unusually attractive for a 44 year old governor there simply is nothing else there to recommend her for the office of Vice-President.

On his first major decision as a Presidential candidate, McCain is continuing a tradition of inept judgment, further compromising this country's national security. While McCain has served in the Senate for 26 years, it has been a record of poor judgment and shortsightedness. Age alone does not bring wisdom.

Clintons Truly Redeemed Themselves For Me!

While Republican pundits dissected every word and said their body language indicated they were not really supporting Obama, I felt the speeches were absolutely wonderful. I never thought I would do this, but I made a contribution to pay off the Clinton campaign debt. These two totally redeemed themselves to me, and I am a Clinton fan once again.

Obama Picking Biden shows he is a man who will not let ego get in his way of being a great President. I suspect, once he is in the White House, the Obamas and Clintons will become real friends and mutual supporters. As you can tell, I've got the warm fuzzies and look forward to a new Democratic and Democratically elected President.

Go Hillary 2016! She will still be way younger than McCain and not nearly as wacky!

Angry PUMAs Reinforce the Worst Gender Stereotypes

If one thinks of the worst stereotypes about women - they are all being reinforced by the Angry PUMAs who say they will vote for McCain just to teach the Democratic Party a lesson. Fatal Attraction, anyone?

One thing Obama has been quite brilliant about is never treating his race as a handicap. You would think these estrogen starved, hip replacement PUMAs could figure out that they are ruining the chances for future female presidential candidates for at least a generation. No one wants a woman with her finger on the button if they believe being upset can cause them to react so totally irrationally. PUMAs are going a long way to support the notion that Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
