They also believe FOX News is a legitimate news channel,George Bush is a man of God just trying to keep the world safe from terrorists, baby killers and "the gays", and the Dixie Chicks are communist Arabic, lesbian spies for Al Cady.
Robert Redford's biggest mistake was not simplicity, but failure to include enough sex,violence, nudity and NASCAR to draw in the right crowds. He has managed to make me pray for the success of a Tom Cruise film - something I never thought I would do.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Reality has very little to do with how we are perceived. A clever woman can make anyone believe she is beautiful - but first she must believe it herself. Cher, Audrey Hepburn, Madonna, and Sophia Loren could just as easily have been perceived as unattractive, if they had perceived themselves differently. Each has an unconventional look that they embraced. Brittany Spears, on the other hand is devastated when she gains 10 pounds. Spears clearly is dependent on other peoples perception of her. She accepts rather than projects her image.
White obese women often see themselves as slugs and thus project that image. Queen Latifa is a good example of a black woman who is "thick", but who believes she is beautiful - and she is! Could a white woman that size pull it off?
Few men or women are truly beautiful. It's all about attitude and self-confidence. No one really gives a damn what you weigh, just how you present yourself.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]You have to let go of this, but it will take you a long, long, long time. Your husband loved you or he would have left you. His love was weak, imperfect, immature. That is the truth. He was a jerk, but maybe he was a jerk because he knew he was dying and he wanted to feel alive. Some people choose extreme sports when death comes close. Everyone seeks a distraction.
I do think you have to remember what you had with him that was positive, for the children as well as for yourself. Keep your mouth shut and protect them from the truth. They cannot remove your pain and making them hate their father will not make you happy. Never confirm anything. Eventually, you will be able to forgive him, and when you do, you will be happy you kept your distance from the gossip and condemnation.
Eventually, you may even be able to love again.

I know what it is like to befriend the moneyed and beautiful sons and daughters of the Ivy League and to watch them drive off when the fun is over; I know the sickening flush you feel when the historic room you are standing in, where canapes are served on silver platters by obsequious caterers of unknown descent, becomes a room in which you are the very thing that does not belong -- a thing to be removed, a thing to move away from lest unpleasantries erupt.
Ah yes - the young handsome boy or girl imagines their beauty is a passport, but it is instead a visa with an unexpectedly abrupt expiration date. Those who do not belong to the world of obscene wealth and privilege can be so easily and cruelly seduced by its reptilian children, who are as quickly disgusted by the ease of the seduction as they are bound to commit it. Heady days, these days of seduction, but they are a fleeting illusion that lasts only until a more interesting or beautiful diversion arrives. All the worlds a whore house and pretty young men and women will be fucked - literally or figuratively - by power and wealth before they lose their freshness.
Tell the young man to go where he pleases, love who loves him and stop trying to be "relevant".

His parents seem to find great difficulty in having faith in anyone or anything. They drugged their child into oblivion because the idea of him"hearing" God so terrified them. What would their friends say? My God - how could they explain a Baptist in the family!
God is real - religion is not. Your fear of one has closed you off from the other. BELIEVE IN SOMETHING - IF ONLY YOUR SON - and perhaps his sweet soul will return. Children are all close to God - until we insist they lose their faith and adopt our beliefs and grow up.
May God forgive you, truly, and repair the damage done. Now it is time for you to be still and listen.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have no doubt that the Clinton Campaign is behind the Reverend Wright story. They keep stoking the fire, while claiming innocence. What they have done is take someone like me, prepared to vote for whomever the democratic nominee was, to someone who cannot and will not support Hillary Clinton.
She is stirring up racism as no one has since George Wallace - all the while smiling and feigning innocence. She is one devious broad. She knows she cannot win the 2008 Democratic nomination, so she has decided to sabotage Obama so she can try again in 2012. She doesn't realize she is instead destroying her party and potentially this country with this bizarre behavior. Or maybe, just maybe she does.
