VP

And you just know that nutcase Huckleberry will be his "running-mate".....

I sure would hate to die because of someone's twisted mythology. And all that prophecy bullshit. Someone mentioned that Koresh kook? What about those F***ing idiots that went to meet the UFOS????

I find myself getting caught up in trying to imagine how in the world they could ever hope to stop what I hope to be a tsunami of rejection for more of the same. For me it's all wrapped-up in that photo of McCain and W hugging. Please put that back up somewhere. It makes me puke.

McCain Future?

You have to believe that he would just coast into office and there would be little, if any turnover any where else in the bureaucracy, that all the kook lawyer kids from that christian college would stay right where they are, and the under-assistant kooks would just keep on screwing things up and Karl Rove would be elevated to sainthood, and blackwater thugs would come marching home and take up Ann Coulter's call to take us "blame America first" members of the Democrat party out of the picture.

Is it possible that the american people are that stupid? My point earlier about W saying there is no recession adds weight to my theory that the whole thing was a bunch of noise to take Iraq off the front page. Now, we've been away for a while, and lo and behold! look what has happened while we were diverted! THE SURGE IS WORKING! The war is a Good and Righteous cause after all, despite what the surrender-first crowd is saying@

Brazil?

Great movie. It had a profound influence on me. Wonder if it's out on DVD? It's not easy to watch, but what a great experience. Please watch it.

And Did You See???

How about what W said about disclosing who's donating money for his Lie-bury? Someone please refresh me on how many tons of Hunnert-dollar bills were crated and shipped to Iran? Or did I just imagine that?

@ Joe Citizen

How is it that there can be such a gulf, such a dichotomy between supposedly sentient beings? It does boggle the mind that people can be so dense. It's like they're STUPID ON PURPOSE.

Whore Beast

If you didn't follow the link to the Hagee Whore Church clip, you really need to do that. It really clues on in on just what a nut this guy is. Lieberman compared him to Moses. Stunning. I'm thinking of going to China and finding someone to do little action figures of "The Whore" and that "Antichrist" things she's riding. Talk about mythology!!!! Whew! What a crock of s***!

@PDA

DUDE! Sorry I mentioned it.

(ewwwwwwww)

Endorsements

Maybe the strategy is to get the kookiest of the kooks out of the way so the ones to come will seem tame by comparison. How about that family values cat? What's his name? Dobson? They're all in cahoots anyway. Maybe they figure the american public will be worn out and sick and tired of it all, all of the "noise", come November and just stay home. Ole' McCain and Huckleberry will coast in because EVERY STINKING RIGHT WING EVANGELICAL BELIEVER in the whole entire universe will vote for them, and there you are, sir.

Original article: Memoir in six words

Never do silly things like this.

Never do silly things like this.

@ERIDAY - Endorsements

That's a great idea. Kind of like the way the prez has people up in the balcony at the State of the Union speech. As long as it someone that THEY admired and not someone that was selected by their campaign advisors to pander to some special interest group(s) and/or make some sort of diversionary statement. I would have to see some real connection between the candidate and the endorsee....

@RMA

I would guess Poet.

Sorry

@RMP!! RMA is something I do at work!

Prince Harry Silence

Ah! But if there was any outcry then we would be forced to confront just WHO is supporting our cause by encouraging their children to sign up. Not our Brave Warriors, or damn few of them, and it sure ain't your local chapter of the College Republicans. As we've heard so many times, they have BETTER things to do.

As a veteran, US Navy 1968 to 1972, I feel sorry for my son, that he won't experience four years of military life and the rewards that I found there. Not only is he personally unwilling to serve under this administration, but I have done everything in my power to dissuade him because of the ramifications of our trampling of the Geneva Conventions (not to mention the Magna Carta).

I pray that the american people aren't so stupid as to fall for more of the status quo.

PONCHO

A Sears poncho? Or a REAL poncho? There is a difference.

Proximity Warning

Interesting. One has to assume then that you found US military involvement in Vietnam worthy and conscionable in a way that involvement in Iraq is not. If you have time I'd be interested to know your reasoning.

I'm not sure how you can draw that conclusion from what I said.

I DO think there is something positive about sacrificing and serving.. And there was the added factor of the draft. My notice arrived the day I was sworn in, so I did volunteer, and I did have some choice over my fate. I hate war. I never believed in the war, but I did believe in this nation

Now I think I'm beyond that.

When it comes to leadership the american people get what they deserve. Come November we'll see just how stupid they REALLY are.

Glenn, You Missed One

".....since we are morally good."

I would just go ahead and say "Morally Good".....

@scientician

Just catching up here, but the PNAC phrase that just slays me is: "Our foreign policy is adrift...."
