I'm with you. Yesterday, Froomkin over at the Washington Post had a recap of just how many times Rice was told BEFORE 9/11. They knew full well that we would be hit and they did nothing. I still think they said: "Let them take their best shot, as it will free us to do what we've wanted to do for years, ever since we got our wrists slapped for Iran-Contra. We'll use this as an excuse to enact our Project for a New American Century Revolution and Coup d'Etat."

Now- I think this most recent trip to the middle-east by W and Cheney was to finalize the plans for whatever is to come next. I agree with with earlier poster who pointed out that W is in great physical shape and could easily drive a truck in one of the many convoys that are actually supporting our troops. Of course he DID have that chance before, but he chose to walk away.

I'm still stunned by that garbage that AP put out the other day; Then today I see a headline that McCain would beat Obama and Clinton. The article went on to point out some very particular circumstance where McCain was polling better than the Dems, but it did give me pause. Then today Bush says that there is no recession. In other news it's all about how can anyone deny the progress being made in Iraq, and the Dems in the senate are portrayed as if they're walking into a trap, as Glorious Victory is just around the corner, the corner, the corner, ad infiinitum.... (nauesum?)

More and more I am drawn to the "parasite device" wherein the extremely odd behaviour of others is explained by some alien creature that's attached itself to the base of the Medula and there you go........ NOW it ALL MAKES SENSE.
