Great Topic

Finally read the piece all the way through. Some very interesting ideas here.

I especially like the idea of an Emotional Brain Institute. Are you gonna do t-shirts?

This past Sunday I witnessed a very emotional performance at a benefit for a musician who has had a terrible turn of medical luck. He developed a staph infection while hospitalized for injuries from a traffic accident. One of the performers was "Steady Rollin'" Bob Margolin, who was Muddy Water's guitarist. Talk about some heavy stuff. I'm one of those people who gets "tetched" a bit, and if it's really good, the tears just start to flow, whether the music is happy and upbeat (as it was in this case) or heartbreaking..... They say "let the music move you".... Well, I am easily moved, so I strongly agree with the idea that musical moments ARE the most impressive, and therefore memorable. Like the time Zappa opened an Atlanta show sitting in a blue spot and playing "Watermelon in Easter Hay"..... You just don't forget it. Ever.

Yeah, who the heck invited Anonymous to come throw water on the party? He's probably one of those poor people who can't keep a beat OR carry a tune. What's the point of life? In fact, I recently decided that our ability to create music may be our ONLY reason for existing (our only POSITIVE contribution to the life around us......) although my cats have never been too fond of my guitar stylings....

Finally, may I shamelessly plug my current favorite artist, Unknown Hinson. You'll find plenty of him on You Tube... He Rawks!

Hagee

Hagee as Moses? I want to puke. Just f***ing puke.

The only thing sicker their "end of days" bullshit. I worry that as they see ALL of this as leading up to their "armageddon" and they'll see themselves as doing the work of "God" when they push the button.

This is a sick, sick, sick, mythology. Glenn, you are SO RIGHT to bring this up.

This should be Moore's next documentary and he needs to get it done, quick. Even when the Dems are back in power, these a**holes will still be about their task. At least we'll have a president who understands the value and strength of the Patriot Act and all of the wire-tapping and stuff. We'll use their own weapons AGAINST THEM. Imagine the uproar when Hagee just vanishes into.....

OOPS! I forgot that people are going to treat whatever I say as representative of the "Loony Left"...... Or like my ideas are Glenn's ideas. Hell no. I'm not THAT smart, or calm...

Sorry - Peace! Love!

Someday

Great stuff here. One can only hope. It's easy now to see what a tragic mistake it was to let Iran-Contra pass without serious consequence for those involved. I'm anxious to see the documentary!!!!

Thanks Glenn

Someday researchers will be drawn to your work in order to have a true understanding of the "reality" of these days, and not the "recorded record". For what end, who can say, for I worry that we are so out of whack we will never regain any sort of equillibrium, at least in the (hopefully) 20 years that I (God willing) may have left.

Case for war?

The only case for this war is the lunatic ravings of Cheney et al over a PNAC.

This was a tragic mistake from Day One. Anyone who didn't see this coming hasn't been paying attention for the past forty-plus years.

This is the same Radical Outlaw Anti-Constitutional Gang that was running the Iran-Contra scam. They walked free when they should have been locked up (or worse.) ANYONE who supported this garbage is guilty of it. No ifs, ands or buts......

Justice

Everyone interesting in the Padilla case, and the prosecution of "terrorists", needs to check out This American Life (radio show) Episode 292, the story of Hemant Lakhani. It will blow you away. You can easily find it on the web:

FROM THEIR WEBSITE:

Hemant Lakhani, an Indian-born British citizen, had been a salesman all his life. Clothing, rice, oil ... it didn't matter to him what the product was, as long as he could spin a deal. Then one day, sitting in a hotel room with a gangster he happened to know, the phone rang. It was a business friend of the gangster's, calling from America. The man on the phone was rich, Lakhani was told. Maybe he would invest in Lakhani's latest venture. So Lakhani started talking to the man over the phone. Pretty soon they set up a meeting at a hotel in New Jersey, to talk business. But when Lakhani got there, the man seemed to be only interested in buying illegal weapons for Somali terrorists. Lakhani, always eager to make a deal, said he can help him out. What he didn't know, is that the supposed rich business man was an FBI informant, and that he had just walked into an elaborate government sting. Petra Bartosiewicz reports.
