Glenn

As I see it, this blog (and Glenn) comes the closest to expressing MY points of view about this whole big-ass mess.

Anyone with half a brain, that had been paying attention, knew full well that W was a lightweight and that he was just the "frontman" for the PNAC crowd. Again, I refer all readers to the Project for a New American Century website. There are so many "smoking guns" there that you must read it. Their Statement of Purpose (or manifesto of beliefs, or whatever the hell you want to call it) is scary. In it, they clearly state that we should use our "might" to shape the world to our purposes. Read it. Check out who signed it. It was issued ten years ago.

Then read the letter to President Clinton about Saddam and WMDs.

Also of interest is Cheney's debate with Edwards. Remember that?

We is deep trouble here friends. All of the right wing chatter about how we need a terrorist hit to "wake up the democrats" should be viewed with extreme alarm. Like I said earlier today, anyone who doubts that the radical extremists among us would kill innocent Americans to make their point is fooling themselves. Think of Eric Rudolph, the Atlanta Olympics bomber. He is allowed, in fact encouraged, to spew his anti-abortion hatred and propaganda from a prison cell. In his mind, and the minds of many many others, his actions are justified by the perceived end - no more abortions (legal, that is).. The "shoe bomber" is shackled and blindfolded so he can't "eye blink" messages to his sympathizers, yet Rudolph spews and spews and spews.....

Anonymous Sources

One other thought that I wanted to mention, relating to Glenn's previous about Anonymous Source Reporting. I think one reason they insist on anonymity (or however you spell it! DUH) is because they are LYING and don't want to be held accountable for their lies.

Did I not read that 150 people died in one bomb the other day? That's progress? Please.

One Blow At A Time

Keep hammering. I have my senators' and rep's telephone numbers programmed into my cell. I call on a daily basis. I tell the poor interns who I am and I can hear them sigh. Then I let them have it. No vulgarity, just clear and cold anger, and contempt (they're all rethugs). We are right. They are wrong.

Here's why that matters. My friend keeps her TV on FOX. She still has a W sticker on her car. The other day she went into an ignorant rant about "left-wing" this and that. I suggested that she contact her Representative. She didn't even know who that might be. (Rethug Sue Myrick).....

I remember being so distraught over Watergate, thinking that I was the only person in the nation who cared.

So today, I have faith that we will prevail.

Hell yes! Impeach

Then send them all to Gitmo. The (next) president needs to be prepared to act swiftly and with brute force against those who are harming this nation. All of our enemies, foreign and DOMESTIC.

Imagine Karl pushing the old "sodomy broom"...... Will we want him at the top, bottom or middle of the Abu-Graib-style "Pyramid of Male Nudity"? Maybe he'll supply the answer with a little help of the waterboard.

Sad.

How sad to be so wrong.

Funny how such "decent" people are always about killing people. Maybe if we kill more of their children they'll understand we mean business.

Draft Dodgers

Don't try to pretend that this isn't important, because it is to me, on a very personal level. I volunteered and served four years in the Navy, 1968 to 1972. The day I took the oath, my status was 1-A. In fact, my Draft Notice came the day after I joined up. I was lucky in that I had a voice of what I would do, as we were allowed to make five choices of the field we would hope to be in. So I ended up working on mines to blow up ships. After school I was sent to NAF Sigonella, Sicily. Now that was one of the greatest things that ever happened in my life. My subsequent assignments were just as great, Scotland, Iceland, and Charleston, South Carolina. So that was the life of luxury compared to the guys who were in 'Nam, or many of my Mineman classmates who ended up on carriers off the coast, assembling and hanging weapons on a non-stop basis.

So these guys did what a lot of silk-pants rich boys did. Just like Dubya, they did one thing or another, usually based on their dad's influence.

How ironic is it that Romney used his religion to avoid service, but now seems to have no problem beating the drums of war....? I guess he justifies it based on that Good vs Evil thing that Greenwald talks about all the time.

Restless Legs Syndrome

My theory is that what the pharmaceutical companies (Disease Mongers)are calling "Restless Leg Syndrome" is largely due to our sedentary lifestyles, and the fact that there is so much energy trapped inside of us. So, that (Restless Legs)is the name of my group, currently a duo. The working titles of our current project are "Dance or Else" and "Unchained Malady"....

We're having some fun with the concept.....! I'm anxious to read more of this article, but I'm at work and MUST WORK!!!

Rock On!
