My predictions: Obama at least 349 including NH, Fl, Va, Colorado, NM, Pa and/orOhio, Indiana, Nevada, North Dakota and Montana plus Nebraska District # 2. McCain ends up with 189 electoral votes. Surprises could be Obama wins AZ or comes real close and Obama wins Ga.

The popular vote , Obama 52% and McCain at 48%. Dems pick up almost all the seats they need which will include Oregon, NC, Colorado, New Mexico , MN and Ga. MS is the wildcard-may go Dem because of Obama's coattails. Also look for both McCain &Liberman to retire instead of running again in 2010

I do not like Lieberman. He is a sanctimonious gas bag & I consider him to be a useful idiot. President {elect} Obama made the right call-his vote is needed to help pass legislation. To all those Salon readers who are upset please note that the 2010 election has begun! President Obama needs some sort of substantial legislative victories because regardless of what the mighty moose hunter from Alaska is planning {2012} the Republican party is looking for Democratic seats -especially state house - to be taken in 2010.

The good people of Connecticut will hopefully end his Senate career in 2012 and send him packing. In the meantime if I were the president I would be quietly plotting to make sure that a viable candidate could be found to run for the senate seat and sack old Lieberman leaving him holding his balls on election night 2012. I would make certain that this candidate would have the best staff ever to win that seat-honestly & by the book. In the meantime I would make nice to Lieberman and do nothing to humiliate him. He would never see the end coming until it was too late .I heard Ned Lamont on MSNBC and he indicated that the door wasn't closed on another senate run. If not Ned Lamont there has has to be someone in the Connecticut legislation who would love to run against old Joe. Yes Joe is a sanctimonious gas bag who stated that Bill engaging in oral sex with a girl young enough to be his daughter was immoral but it was ok {based on Lieberman's statements to date} a president lying us into a war that is apparently ok. Yes old Joe is a fool but hopefully a useful one.
