Original article: Clinton gets emotional

seemed calculated

I'm really surprised by the posters lack of any ability to critique HORRIBLE acting!

That was the fakest acting I have ever witnessed.

...and the YOUTH VOTE pandering comment about pizza was a real howl. such a politician.

Original article: Having it both ways

AncientAssyrian has it right!

Good assessment of the situation.

If Clinton can't help herself doing DOUBLESPEAK on such a minor event as this.....

well....

Thursday, January 17, 2008 01:08 PM

can we get an apology from Clinton supporters?

something to the effect that our (defenders of Obama) interpretation of the Johnson comment was RIGHT ON THE MONEY and that we didn't interpret him wrong?

I doubt it.

Thursday, January 17, 2008 01:14 PM

good reading of the situation.

AncientAssyrian, you laid it out real good. That is exactly right! It's disheartening that these aplogists keep defending this kind of behavior. It says alot about character.

how can you support this?!

"As you'll recall, the DNC stripped Florida of its delegates to the Democratic National Convention when the state scheduled its primary earlier than the party wanted. That turned Tuesday's Florida primary into the same sort of meaningless affair the Michigan primary was -- at least until Clinton issued a statement Friday in which she said that she'd fight to have delegates from both states seated at the convention after all. "

can someone explain to me how this is NOT underhanded?

Just like the Nevada LAWSUIT brought on by Clinton "supporters", was underhanded.

How can anyone support that? please explain.

why?

why isn't Obama stressing his black/white roots? that seems like the logical strategy to me! appeal to BOTH sides.

Joan, perhaps the reason you don't see the whole MLK/LBJ sound bite as innocent is because you are a white female? ....and I don't mean that derogatorily. We ALL view life through our gender/race glasses, I guess.

I agreed with the woman who suggested that if it WASN'T MLK (the populist groundswell) there would have BEEN no laws passed.

Saturday, January 26, 2008 12:53 PM

what?!

Whoever wins this battle will win the nomination and it is a complete cop out and kind of an insult to the intelligence of the candidates and to all of us to think that it's the media (as lazy and as incompetent as they are) who is making up this story.

The Media is simply telling the story that they are getting spoon fed by the candidates and their campaigns.

you say we're being "spoon fed" and yet you say it's "an insult to the intelligence of the candidates and to all of us to think that it's the media who is making this story up"?!!

well are we being spoonfed it or not.

Susan Sunflower

what's the BIG DEAL you say?

how would YOU feel, if during a game you and your opponent are playing, that he changes the rules mid course?

be honest now...

that is essentially what the Clinton campaign is doing.

I won't have ANY of that!

you compared Florida in 2000?

that was not the same thing...imho.

Original article: Pre-spinning South Carolina

easy....

it all boils down to ethics.

Clinton, both in Nevada and now here in Florida, is trying to change the rules of play after the game is in full swing.

are you going to support that type of behavior?

that type of behavior is unaccepable.

if someone can logically explain it, I'd love to hear it.

cynthera

maybe you can answer me this query?

"how would YOU feel, if during a game you and your opponent are playing, that he changes the rules mid course?

be honest now...

I know that might sound naive...I know that there is unethical dealings in politics...but in this case......

ok, your cynical, we get it.

But does it necessarily have to be that way?

I don't buy that Shite about mud slinging either:

"well, the Republicans are gonna do it".

You believe in changing the rules mid game. I don't.

we'll have to agree to disagree.

If you can point out similar tactics used by the Obama campaign...let's here it.

The world is what we make of it, unfortunatly.

Sunday, January 27, 2008 12:50 PM

Clintons supporters.....

sound as old, bitter and cynical as their nominee.

sad.

HOW DARE OBAMA OFFER SOMETHING LIKE HOPE!!!

Just because Clinton doesn't offer you hope, don't bash those of us who are enthused about the prospects of a NEW DAY.

yes, people are falling over each other with praise for Obama, and the ones who are jealous of that, and YES, that's what it is...JEALOUSY (that someone can offer HOPE)can't run him down fast enough.

very telling.

How come the media is giving the CLINTONS a pass on the whole Amendment against a person serving more than two terms.

If Bill is THIS involved in his wifes nomination, how much more involved will he be in the presidential office?!

It's illegal as hell! why isn't the press talking about this?!!

Sunday, January 27, 2008 01:08 PM

hey!

I didn't paint Clinton as a racist! he did that all by himself! ...and it IS illegal for Bill Clinton to be back in the White House. You think if they get the presidency that he WON'T have his hand in every policy decision?!! they even say that they are a TEAM?!! why isn't the press jumping on this issue?!!!

Sunday, January 27, 2008 05:12 PM

thank you....

Clinton is NOT change at all...

and to think that she was DUPED by BUSH about the evidence of Weapons of Mass Destruction!

and you want someone that is so easily duped to be your president?!!

Sunday, January 27, 2008 07:59 PM

seems like a common occurance.....

"Easily - it's called cherry-picking. He cherry-picked 20% of his votes and didn't show up for the other 80%

From CNNPolitics.com:

"Joe Biden of Delaware has missed 68 percent of the votes during the same period, Sen. Christopher Dodd of Connecticut 65 percent and Clinton of New York 63 percent."

Original article: Super Tuesday showdown

how typical....

male candidate - Super Bowl ad (30 seconds)

female candidate - Hallmark "talk" (1 1/2 hours)

Tuesday, February 5, 2008 05:57 PM

why?

why the gloating?

very poor taste, imho.
