Wow, that didn't take long

Imagine that you are married to Hillary, a calculating, career driven woman if there ever was one.

Yep, this will be the way it is turned in the future...no longer seen as a failing of Bill's (that was none of my business), but an indictment of Hillary. Maybe Klein can pick up on this thread....

Obama or Kucinich would never face these issues, because their wives are "hot", even if a tad too smarty pants for some people.

Maybe Bill cheated because Hillary has big ankles or wears pantsuits, the things that seem to obsess my RW neighbors...who are in no position to judge anyone on their excess weight or looks.

That's not what I said, or meant

Last thing from me, because the whole Clinton-Lewinsky thing has been done to death.

So anyone pointing out that men in positions of responsibility in the office should not sexually harass those in his employ is now considered sexually repressed.

I didn't know that Monica ever claimed harassment. I wasn't aware that there were other interns that got that attention. I'm sure if there was ANYTHING, even a hint at impropriety with other women at the White House, we'd know every sordid detail. To me it sounds like Monica was infatuated and Bill was an idiot. It should have stayed PRIVATE.

To me, there is a huge difference between consensual sex between adults and coerced behavoir.

I myself have never had an affair, let alone one with a coworker, but I've seen it happen. One guy was going through a phase of a troubled marriage and fell for our bookkeeper, another woman just kind of fell for one of our sales reps. Both of the marriages survived, but neither one was harrassment. No jobs were lost, lawsuits filed, though there was some awkwardness.

I felt most sorry for Monica for having the whole world know her dirty laundry at 23, Good Lord, I made some dumb decisions at that age myself and I'm glad that sick bastards like Starr didn't get to giggle over the details like cigars or thongs. I used to call a boyfriend that I couldn't get over and really cared about "Creepy Ed" and that rang some bells when Monica's private phone calls were revealed.

More rate cuts expected

One of the headlines over at CNBC is that now the market expects another 50 basis point cut next Wednesday.

http://www.cnbc.com/id/22780522

What's interesting, is on CNN this morning, the talking head gave advice to try and refinance your home right now before the resets if you still had an ARM. She at least warned people to have a realistic view of their home's worth before doing so.

I don't care if interest rates go down even farther, it doesn't make me want to rush out and buy a home in CA or an investment condo in Vegas or Miami, nor do I want to finance new furniture for my house.

Caution has set in (actually it had for a while) but now it has for my neighbors who were feeling "rich" just a few months ago. I don't see that an emergency rate cut will make them feel more confident and wnat to buy tons of new stuff.

@bystander regarding stars

I agree, I was shocked to see a star, but maybe the title of the post, "Specter is such a tool" moved Glenn beyond words.

I have to agree with both red stars given so far....

BTW, Arlen Specter really is a mealy mouthed tool.

@cythera45

Most of the Clinton bashing done here is being done by the standard Clinton bashers. Shooter is NOT an Obama supporter, or for that matter, a supporter of any Democrat running. He's a fan of Bush, thus any criticism's of Bush are met instantly with, "but, but Clinton...."

As pointed out in a post above, it happened here, too.

This stinks

I was disappointed in my preferred candidate's showing, I was a solid John Edwards supporter. That being said, I'm not upset with idea of either Hillary or Obama being the next President. They both bring some decent things to the table.

But Obama wasn't on the ballot in MI and Hillary's camp said it didn't matter that Hillary was, because it didn't count anyway. Now all of a sudden the view changes?

It would be complete BS to change the rules after the fact, if it was so "disenfanchising", it should have been fought over by the candidates (and supporters) BEFORE the vote.

On the side, WES and a few others, your attacks on Obama are getting quite tiresome and frankly, mean spirited. Neither Hillary or Obama will be a push over for McCain (btw, MY preferred candidate polled the best against McCain, but oh well). Hillary and Obama do both have their negatives, but I daresay they are outweighed by McCain's.

Off topic Obama bashing

"His entire life reeks of self-serving opportunism." Except for his involuntary POW stint (where he behaved admirably), this sounds like McCain. Huckabee, on the other hand seems like a true believer, agree with him or not.

Hey Anon, why don't you make up a cute name for yourself for your posts so we can skip all your over the top Obama bashing and your fake support of Hillary. You can call yourself FakeHillarySupporter or McCainConcernTroll or ObamasWifeNotCool or whatever you want.

I don't think a true Hillary supporter would be making such an issue over Moveon, blacks and the anti war crowd. I don't know if you've noticed, she's become pretty anti-war herself.

If you limited yourself to a post or two per thread you might have been more believable, but I guess you couldn't help yourself.

Obama bashing

I said this on another thread, but some of the anon poster's repetitive attacks on Obama and support of Hillary seems over the top and not believable...so bad, that it reflects very poorly on Hillary. I think we are being played...and not by any supporter of either Hillary or Obama.

The other repetitive Obama basher, cythera45, may be the real deal who doesn't realize that their constant attacks are counterproductive.
