They are pissed about events they have no contorl over.

The economy tanked....and they aren't sure why or WHO exactly is the exact person to blame.

Their mortgage is bad....but again they aren't sure who is exactly to blame. Was it the government? Was it just the banks on their own? Bill Clinton?

Psychologically speaking you have a bunch of people pissed off that life is unfair and they have decided that they are going to invent an all-purpose Boogey Man to unload ALL their fears and frustrations on.

So when someone is screaming and sobbing in a town hall....it's really because they are pissed about the economy tanking and their house losing value and they aren't sure who to blame.

So they blame any Dem that happens to be standing in front of them.

It's sad, but true.

Unfortunately these people are working out their psychological issues in a manner than is going to prevent common sense healthcare reform.

When Jon Stewart kept asking her why politicans would want to "kill old people" when doing so would get them UNELECTED her response was basically, "Because government is evil. That's what government does!"

She had no logic.

Her core belief was that if your elected to public office you are instantly evil whereas if you own an insurance company your're a saint.

So the only thing that seperates out "good" for "unspeakable evil" is winning election to a public office????

Then when Job pointed out that premiums have been skyrocketing EVERY YEAR and that wages are only ticking up 1 percent she disputed that!

The people robustly defending Facebook are people who themselves think typing a three word sentence to someone once a week equates to being someone's "friend."

Sorry to burst your bubble but ACTUAL communication requires effort.

I know sitting down to actually write something interesting and meaningful and over four words long can sometimes be annoying....but if the person that is your "friend" isn't worth more than 4 words a week then why in God's name are they your "friend"?

I think the real battle is between people who do put forth a lot of effort in communicating -- such as writing a friend a 4 page email -- and then only getting back a single 3 word sentence in return.

The person typing the three word sentence is absolutely convinced that they are "communicating" in the exact same way and put forth the exact same effort as the person who wrote he 4 page email....and are confused as to why people are harshing their really, really short missives.

Because typing out, "LOL! Yeah, I know!" in response to a 4 page email is lazy bullshit.

I know I'll probably get flamed now. (sigh) Well, someone had to come right out and say it!

Facebook is for really lazy people who want to create the illusion of interaction without putting out any of the effort.

Which is easier: making a birthday card yourself and mailing it to your friend....or just typing "Happy BDAY!" to them on Facebook?

Also, I heard that in Europe and Russia and places like that that if a woman goes to one of the "free" hospitals for a routine check-up and she is pregnant that they will automatically give her an abortion without even telling her what they are doing!!!
