There are dumb.
They don't really understand economics on any level.
They don't really like women, nor minorities of any ethnic group. White is the only "American" race in their minds.
They think science is to hard to understand so they embrace religion.
Bending over backwards to be nice to them and walking on eggshells so we don't make them feel bad about their own intolerance and stupidity doesn't work!
Obama is trying very hard not to offend the racists or the He-Man Woman-Haters or the abortion doctor snipers or the Toby Keith wanna-bes that beat homosexuals to death with baseball bats fer fun out der in Texas....and it's not working.
They are never going to vote for Obama no matter how nice he is to the Red Staters.
So why not just say the hell with it and have an honest conversation?
Their idiots and racists! It's okay to say the truth out loud. McCain and Bush and Palin supporters are dumb, uneducated (probably hooked on meth) and racists. Sorry, but it's time to be honest.
They are idiots who have literally no idea what a mutual fund is nor anything more economically complex than that such as a trade agreement. So trying to explain it to them is a waste of time.
They don't disapprove of the GitMo torture because they spend their Saturday nights smashing the kneecaps of homosexuals while listening to country music.
Trying to win them over is just a waste of time.
Ignore the South. Once we voted Civil Rights into law we lost the South forever. Just give up on them and move on.
Expert?
This person graduated with a 4 year degree in Journalism and she is seriously been touted as SMARTER than:
a) a CEO of an oil business
b) Energy policy wonks with 20, 30, 40 years experience in the field
c) Al Gore even?
This chick better stick to walking around in a bathing suit in front of judges.
Ouch.
McCain pulls that ultimate (in his mind) Macho Man move be declaring that HE will personally offer his "insights" into the economic recovery conversation.
McCain is politely, but firmly told "No thanks!"
I guess he shouldn't have bragged about how he doesn't know how the economy works?
Or maybe the thought of the ultimate deregulator suddenly trying to regulate an industry he admits to not understanding seemed like a bad joke to everyone who heard the offer?
You'd think his 35 years in the Senate would have -- I don't know -- earned him more respect for his knowledge base, but apparently everyone that DOES know McCain realizes the man doesn't know jackshit.
No matter how you slice it (or put lipstick on it) McCain comes out looking like a jackass.
Doesn't that sum it up perfectly?
"You're using a hatchet when a scalpel is needed."
McCain is a blunt instrument....a man who is playing checkers when we need a leader that can play chess. Obama came across as a brilliant chessmaster whereas McCain came across as a shaved gorilla that someone taught to play a rudimentary game of checkers!
We need brains, not tough guy talk from someone that graduated the bottom of his class 125 years ago.
Let's be real, a certain percentage of voters in this country love a-holes.
They respond to Alpha Males. If you grunt out in tough guy speak "I'll bomb Iran and kill everyone in North Korea! Grrrrr!" -- then there will be about 25 percent of voters who will swoon.
They have no idea what a steel tariff is, how it works or what McCain's position on it is --- and they don't care! So long as McCain grunts out his tough guy speak and postures like an Alpha Male (like Bush has mastered) they will vote for him.
There are about 25 percent of voters who should be written off as unreachable.
It's the same percentage that still thinks Bush is doing a great job.
The whole bailout seems like a bad idea.
We need to bailout the comapnies because we think doing so might free up more credit?
Instead of a solid plan this seems like wishful thinking, a kind of hypothetical positive domino effect.
This is how the whole bailout seems to me:
The gamblers lost all their chips. The government wants to take out a payday loan to buy $700 Billion in chips which they want to give to the gamblers so they can keep playing Texas Hold'em.
If the gambler don't get more chips to gamble with (so the theory goes) then they will stop playing and the casino will be forced to close which will have a negative impact on the low level cocktail waitresses.
So in order to save the jobs of the cocktail waitresses we have to give $700 Billion in casino chips to the gamblers so they can keep playing, keep losing, and the casino can use the money the gamblers lose in the casino to pay the waitresses.
Huh?
There has got to be a better way to save the waitresses.
This was a character she was playing.
This was performance art.
If you believe Gov. Palin seriously talks like that everyday (dog gone it!) then I've got a Bridge To Nowhere I'd like to sell you.
Winning a campaign and successfully governing a nation are two totally different things.
Is winning "American Idol" the same thing as being a sucessful and talented vocalist? Not really. Just look at all the "winners" who stole Americas heart....but were never heard from again because they, frankly, sucked.
Is winning "Dancing With The Stars" the same thing as being a professional dancer? Nope.
Palin is winning the election....but is 100 percent incompetent to be President.
On American Idol there is no real consequence to America if a no-talent wins.
Here? There are very real consequences to putting someone wildly incompetent in the VP or President position.
