Something Else To Worry About -- Hillary PLEASE Just Go Away

From the Dallas Morning News:

http://trailblazers.beloblog.com/archives/2008/03/caucus-strategy.html

Hillary Clinton and her campaign is pushing for precinct captains for Texas' 8,000 Democratic polling places. They need to train folks to lead the caucus sessions that will determine more than 60 delegates after the primary voting is over.

In training materials being handed out by the Clinton campaign, it is clear that they want to control those caucus sessions.

The materials say in part, "DO NOT allow the supporter of another candidate to serve in leadership roles."

It goes on to say, "If our supporters are outnumbered, ask the Temporary Chair if one of our supporters can serves as the Secretary, in the interest of fairness.

"The control of the sign-in sheets and the announcement of the delegates allotted to each candidate are the critical functions of the Chair and Secretary. This is why it is so important that Hillary supporters hold these positions."

Good strategy, Hillary. Really hope that works out for you? I'm sorry? what? You said something about "Rovian tactics?"

She'll do anything to win the nomination and in the process lose the bigger objective of winning the Presidency.

This girl just doesn't get it.

She's exactly like those SURVIVOR contestants that run around insulting everyone/kicking them in the balls in order to win an Immunity Idol on DAY 3 oblivious to the fact that she has 36 more days on the Island and needs to win a Jury vote too!

Yes Hillary, breaking a pool cue over Obama's head NOW might (maybe!) win you the nomination. Yes, if you send Bill out there with brass knuckles to soften him up you might squeek by enough to get the nod --- but you'll have pissed off so many people in the process they want turn out to support you in a general election.

And even if she did (by some miracle) make it to the White House she is so hated by her Republican rivals it would just be 4 solid years of gridlock and obstruction.

But Hillary doesn't actually care about passing legislation. She cares about being the boss.

Is The Obama NAFTA Thing Really A Issue?

Obama said he would pull out of the agreement if certain concession couldn't be reached -- arguably something that would never happen, though theortically we would do it if Canada did refuse to meet us half way on anything.

The press blew this up and made it seems like we will pull out of NAFTA instantly as soon as he takes office.

He sent feelers out to Canada basically saying, dude, ignore the Press. It ain't like that, yo.

Now he's being called a liar?

I think it showed prudence that he reconginzed the possible dange of press hyperbole and took meassures to reassure our trading partners to the North that, no, Tim Russert isn't going to be holding any Cabinet level positions in the future and not to take what he says too seriously.

We Were Having A Civilized Debate About Policy...

Until the Golden Girl started losing.

That's what was so energizing about Obama -- he kind of set the tone for civilized debate because he never rose to the bait Hillary laid out and he kinda forced her to be chill too.

We Dems were demonstrating how politics could be and proving ourselves superior to the Repubs and their philosophy of "Kill'em All!"

And then she started losing. Badly.

The she dusted off the Bush Attack Ads 101 and dragged us all right back into the mud proving to everyone that Dems and Repubs are no different.

Thanks Hillary!
