Ron Paul Zombies Frighten Me...

Spend any amount of time on YouTube or scan the various MySpace pages of people in certain age groups and/or those who consider themselves "counterculture," and you'll quickly run across those I refer to as Ron Paul Zombies. Like the zombies you're used to seeing in horror flicks, these folks ambulate in slow unison, repeat the same monosyllabic statements (replacing "Must eat brain," with "Leave it to the states"), and are generally to be avoided at all costs.

They are not just fueled by an interest in seeing their own political ideology flourish, but seem hell bent on some misguided mission to "stick it to the man." There are only two problems: 1) their guy is going to lose; and 2) their guy is a complete fraud who, like them, seems to think that state power would somehow resist devolving into the oppressive, racist, homophobic, mysogynistic horror show it once subjected Americans to.

Unlike the undead, however, we might be able to offer Ron Paul's bloodthirsty followers a cure. It's called an education.

Enough Already! Men Don't Have It So Easy Either, You Sniveling Cliche's!

I'm so sick of hearing women bitch and moan about their tits. As a gay man, I couldn't care less...and any straight man who says he does probably has another reason for listening. Women are never satisfied! If their tits are small, they bitch. If their tits are average, they bitch that they want 'em bigger. If their tits are huge, they bitch about that, too! No wonder straight men complain about you gals so much!

And for the block heads who are still deluded enough to think that men "have it all," consider those in my gender who are overly endowed. We have our issues too, I can assure you. And before you get too high-and-mighty, my fellows who share this issue tell me that women, too, ask that fateful question, "What size is that?"

There are so many issues with being an overly endowed man that an entire chat room and web site has been set up (The Large Penis Support Group, or www.LPSG.org), and has hundreds of thousands of members (no pun intended).

My ten cents' worth.

Original article: Honor killings and Islam

What a joke!

Are you people kidding me? The Qur'an and it's adherents don't support so-called "honor killings"? Gimme a break!

Do yourselves a favor and read "Infidel" by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, or just look her up on YouTube. She's very open about what it was like to live under Islaam (especially as a woman), and how bloody and cruel it is. These apologists are part of the problem. Uber-liberalism is just as much to blame for these women's deaths as ultra-conservativism within the religion.

Christopher Hitchens describes even more in his book "God is Not Great." Read that, too!

You're The Reason We're Losing...

People like this idiot Gary Kamiya are the reason we Democrats are the pathetic, simple-minded losers we are today. Anyone who even CONSIDERS a person's race (or gender) when voting is showing himself to be beyond help in logical reasoning. You can't tell the country to ignore race when it comes to crime and violence, and then call for the use of race in voting! First of all, Obama's about as Black as Sidney Poitier or Colin Powell...but even if he were "Cedric-The-Entertainer-Black," it should make no differnce to either his supporters or to his opposition what his race is. The real question is: Is he the right candidate, and how does his stand on the issues. If you need me to tell you that, please don't vote.

Original article: I don't believe in atheists

Just ridiculous...

It's a bit Orwellian to refer to Atheists as "extremists," folks. Can one be "extreme" about THE TRUTH?

If so, perhaps that Darwin guy should have softened his tone about Evolution? Or maybe all those Extreme Gravity Believers are just a bit overzealous?

The only people who refer to Atheists are extremists are morons who expect everyone to give them the wiggle room they need to continue in their delusions unabated. Well sorry folks, but you had your turn during the Dark Ages. Atheists like Sam Harris, Richard Dawkins, and even Christopher Hitchens announce a new Age of Reason, and we refuse to back down.

(And only Hitchens is a neocon out of that group. Harris and Dawkins are extremely Liberal in their political views. Just because they see Islam as the dangerous influence it really is (just ask Ayaan Hirsi Ali and her dead friend Theo van Gough), doesn't mean they're neocons.

Preaching to the choir...

Unfortunately, those who listen to Limbaugh and/or watch FOX News will never subscribe to Salon, so they'll never read this article. And people are so loathe to learn to look up or interpret scientific articles, they'll never do their own research to dispel the myths they hear about from these morons. In short, it'll boil down - once again - to a he said/she said.

Stop the America Bashing!...

What's up with all the America bashing in these letters? When you do that, you show yourself to be LESS cosmopolitan, not MORE. If you'd ever done any world traveling, you'd learn that Americans are no more likely to believe crap like this than anyone else. And television watching has no correlation whatsoever; that "I don't watch tv, so I'm better than you" attitude is just another pathetic fad.

The truth is, people all over the world fall for bad science every day. Google James Randi and read his web site if you don't believe me. Americans are actually much further ahead in their critical thinking skills than much of the world.

Another great source is "Don't Believe Everything You Think" by Thomas E. Kida. He sets down 6 universal rules for non-thinking. Rule #1 is: People prefer stories over statistics.

Original article: The Sarah Palin pity party

Leave Amy Poehler Outta This...

Actually, Amy Poehler was trying to make the point that Palin USES cuteness to sidestep the tough questions. That's not pity.
