Since you don't use any name, I'm assuming that the Anonymouses are all the same person since they write the same crap over and over. I specifically talked about my experience with the mainstream feminist movement and that it was limited to org's like NOW and NARAL, and PP and various college women's groups on campus in the 90's. I even pointed you towards what I think is probably the most mainstream of feminist orgs (NOW) and their many links on advocating inclusion for transgender people. And I read your two links and noticed that much of it dealt with controversy in the 1970s and controversy within the LGBT community which is not the same as mainstream feminism. The article that you cited itself speaks of radical lesbian separatists instigating a lot of the bigotry. Yet again, not mainstream feminism. I had to look up Janice G. Raymond on wikipedia, I had never heard of her. It looks like she is also a part of the anti-porn movement...which is not an uncontroversial part of feminism especially in comparison with the "sex positive" feminists. There is a lot of disagreement with feminism and I'm not disclaiming anyone, but I don't think that most mainstream feminists would even know who Dr. Raymond is much less her position on transexuality. So if you are going to make claims like "mainstream feminists actively want to discriminate against male to female transexuals" you need to show us mainstream feminists advocating discrimination and you really haven't done that. Granted I've said several times that I'm not really sure what the definition of mainstream feminism is, but my guess is that its pro-choice, anti-discrimination, pro-women in politics (ie EMILYS LIST), maybe anti-war?, pro-gay marriage and for things like better parental leave policies, living wages and universal health care. But I could be wrong on that, does anyone have a better list? I don't think that transexuality is at the top of the list for mainstream feminists (like I already said!) because transgenderism is not (yet) part of the mainstream. If you want to say that there is part of the feminist movement that is against transgenderism, that's one thing, but the movement is so huge and so diverse that you can't make sweeping generalization and not expect to have people call you on it. I'm certainly not the only one here that is asking you to prove what you say or at least to be more clear about what you say and give something more than just "the sky is falling the sky is falling."
And not everyone thinks that Amanda Marcotte is the be-all end-all in modern feminism!
