Mr. Nice Guys, I am so sorry that I ruined your lives. You were right, I dated assholes, I chased bad boys, I turned down nice guys so could get my heart broken by a guitarist in a punk rock band. I told a guy that I wouldn't date him but I liked him as friend. I slept with a guy 'cause he looked hot in leather pants and eyeliner and was dumb as a bag of hammers. Yep, you are right, it was a personal vendetta against you, to make sure that you never got the girl, never got laid, never got to live happily ever after. So that you would grow up old and bitter and to hate all women. And obviously, I won, you lose.
I don't subscribe to Ms. anymore, but I thought the article "5 ways a woman's heart differs from a man's" was about the differences in regards to medicine not some touchy feely thing about emotions. anyone actually have the issue in question?
I just got through reading the newsweek article on line (my hard copy must be floating around the east coast somewhere) and i thought it was good very the typical newsweek article, but it was missing some things. Like if boys aren't going to college, where are they going? Are they working? Are they in the army, in jail on safari? Maybe men can be successful without a college degree while women do need that piece of paper.
Also from the article, I'm not sure that you can pin the blame on Title IX, it sounds like the changes in classrooms where more due to the shift to standardized testing, more kids in each classroom, less creative curriculum, less money in general and more emphasis on just warehousing kids or raising them to be happy cubicle workers. Should there be a shift back to more open schooling, if you do that, then what do you do about all of the gov't mandated testing standards? But didn't boys do just fine during the "golden years" of the 1950's school years when everything was focused on rote memorization and very disciplined teached methods? Or was it just that back then girls were so sidelined that the boys tests and college admissions were artifically elevated?
My mom is a grade school nurse and prior to that was a grade school teacher and she's noticed that the kids lose their PE time not because the girls soccer team needed some cash, but because the class had to spend more time studying for the Standards of Learning tests. She also blames a lot of the discipline problems on the fact that the school has little to no authority to keep the kids in line and that parents are more likely to try to argue with teachers and administrators than try to help to keep their kids in line. She also gets a lot of stressed out kids with anxiety problems when the SOL test come around. I'm not sure having 3rd grades with ulcers is a good outcome from more testing.
And can I just say that I hate the whole "war on" whatever phrase. It's so b.s. there is no one sitting around plotting to do little boys in. Like the whole jew-secular-leftist-pinko cabal orchestrating the war on Christmas. bleh.
The way in which you get rid of the fat can be more harmful than keeping it. My mom was one of those people on Fen-phen, but luckily she did not suffer from the deadly side effect of pulmonary hypertension. Xenical works by blocking the absorption of fat (only about 30%), so what doesn't get absorbed is expelled in the form of "loose stools". The best results from the study were people already eating a lower fat diet and the difference between people on the Xenical vs placebo were only about 5 - 6 lbs. The medication really wouldn't help out the morbidly obese and has absolutely no impact on carb or sugar metabolism. With the cost at $12 - $25 a week, you'd be better off spending that on the gym and a trainer.
yeah right, tell that to:

It's all well and good for the philosophers and biologists here to debate what is life and when does it begin and when does it end. And it's great that we can debate about our political strategy and state of the democratic party or democracy in general. However when it comes down to brass tacks, it scares the ever-living crap out of me that possibly some day soon I might be forced to have a baby I don't want. Nine months of enforced pregnancy, having my body taken over by someone else, for someone else's purpose when I don't want it, to be completely powerless over my own body is the greatest horror I can imagine. No it's not rational, no it's not pretty, but that's exactly what it is.
i heard about some animal research on this all the way back in H.S. biology class. I'm all for it, I think I'm going to write my Planned Parenthood rep and find out if I can designate my donation to go to male womb reserach.
Sadly though, I'm not too sure about the market for it. I just took an informal survey and 100% of the male respondents said no way to giving birth. One guy was okay with it only if it meant that he got out of diaper duty, when I told him it did not, he took a pass.
but now that I do, I realize that the smokers at my company have better accomodations than lactating moms.
