Typical Democrat Over-Thinking

The walk on eggshells approach ot politics Tim suggests is exactly why the Dems have lost and will continue to lose.

It is exactly why the Democrats will lose votes in November for their protestations of the Habitha debacle instead of being able to point out the danger their opponents put us in for their gross incompetence and ineptitude.

The Dems are typically unable to frame an arguement; Even ones THEY bring up. They take such a chicken shit walk-on-eggshells approach that they end up looking worse than the people they were attempting to condemn via their own arguement.

This is a good example of the pervasiveness of that mentality.

Another Deep-Thinking Fair-Minded Liberal

You're probably right. I'm sure the ex-Marine war hero Jack Murtha was just blinded by partisanship when he suggested Bush has no vision or plan for victory in Iraq.

Go screw yourself you weak dick jack ass! Better yet, why don't you sign up and go search for some IEDs since you dare to even suggest it is a noble cause.

Go ahead and cancel my subscription too. I've had it with you yellow bellied chicken shits.

What a Beautiful Word...Equivoque

If only George Bush would you words that we had to look up- he likely wouldn't be president right now.

Can you pretentious snobs just say what you want to say for once? Just once? Cowardice and self absorbtion cloaked in satire and intellect.

I've been a liberal all my life, but you've all convinced me I'm just not smart enough. I'm off to the dark side.

If that was Your Point....

...than that's what your should say. I think most people got your point, but why are you so afraid to just say what you mean? Salon writers are nearly becoming everything they ridicule the MSM for.

Don't Hold My Breath for any Answers?

Heck...I wont even hold my breath for the questions to be formally asked. Good ones though.

Salon is so Fair Minded

Whether Manjoo is right or wrong is of little consequence to me. While I do not expect Salon to print something it believes is false, it is what Salon chooses to report on that bothers me. I wish some of the more popular conservative websites would publish fair-minded stories that are critical of the prominent GOP positions in the media.

But nooooo, those GOP bastards like winning elections!!

There are a number of free websites out there publishing stories critical of liberal positions and here I am paying for one. And I don't need some panty waste teling me how liberalism is taking a fair look at both sides of an issue. There were a fair amount of election irregularities in the past two presidential elections. I wish Salon would be more choosey about the issues by which they illustrate their liberalism.

You guys have really been doing the devils dirty work very well lately. Perhaps some conservatives will make up for the many subscriptions I will not be renewing.

Gore and Kerry are to Fault?

You people who blame Gore and Kerry for the losses in 2000 and 2004 are conservative "journalists" wet dreams. You fell for the shit they fed you.

You see, the conservative movement is much more organized than we are. They are on the same page. They feed people the same shit over and over and over again until even the liberals believe their candidates are dumber than George Bush. I can see many of you fell for it.

On the other hand, the liberal movement to get candidates elected can be summed up by the discussions amongst liberals that we have here. We bring knives to gun fights. Then we hand the knife over to the enemy so they have a knife and a gun. Then we are left with our dicks in our hand.

But we're fair and objective damnit!

Democrats Stol Elections in Chicago for Decades?

Someone patting Manjoo on the back a few letters back invokes the point that democrats stole elections in Chicago for decades.

Is this person nuts? That simply cannot be possible? Can you not imagine the level of coordination and the number of people that would have had to remain silent in order for that to have taken place? I do. I read about how impossible this is in Manjoo's article.

Don't Discount Your Conservative Readership

Don't be so sure that the young college republicans don't have War Room on their summer reading list. With your piece today about the inevitable horseshit candidate the Democrats will produce in 2008 and Manjoo's piece on republican's impeccable election ethics, what better sourcing could they have when spreading their word than Salon?

Mr Keillor

I think you can see by merely looking at some of these letters that the damage is further than anyone even realizes.

Did I see one subscriber suggest that GWB is so pathetically pathetic that it would be beneath you to suggest it? That's a new and creatively ignorant way of protecting him. Talk about foaming at the mouth...

I love your work. Thanks for the entertainment.

Whether People Care (Understand?) is our Barometer

People had very little understanding or interest in what Ken Lay did with Enron. Because of that, should the problem be ignored?

I thought this story was a perfect llustration about how the republicans see things in terms of win/lose as opposed to right/wrong. They've made up their minds they're going to stand behind these incompetent criminals, and backing down now (or ever) will be a sign of weakness. Principles be damned.

Perhaps this isn't just a republican short-coming.

Was This Written in English?

Maybe I've had too much to drink tonight, but this piece seems overly complicated. I didn't understand a word of it. I have a feeling this is another one of those liberal ramblings that could be summarized in twenty words or less. Anyone care to translate for me?

Too Fair and Balanced

I know you're trying to be fair and balanced, but I was wondering if it was ever possible to applaude the actions of the Democrats without the obligatory backhand.

I don't think Salon is aware of how close it is coming to fair and balancing themsleves to a seat alongside NBC and the rest of MSM.
