Good Representative.

I saw Stephanie Stuckey-Benfield speak at a showing of the Wal-Mart movie. She discussed her bill and explained why she wanted the public to have the information. Even if you like Wal-Mart, why wouldn't you want to know which corporations are putting a burden on taxpayers? I would like to see reports on all public money, and all various forms of tax breaks and any government granted relief, become manditory for all states. Let us know what the people who are governing us are doing.

I find it ironic that the GOP, the party of the Free Market, doesn't want us to know how they help larger corporations compete against small business? With all the tax breaks and various forms of relief given to Wal-Mart, is it any wonder that Mom & Pop stores cannot compete with them?

I second AA.

Zaynab D.certainly has not seen ony of the AA meetings I have gone to for the last 17 years. The meetings are not depressing, and are not a lot of people sitting around bemoaning their fate. They are lively, funny, and full of fellowship.

I think AA can give the letter writer's father something he may need- fellowship and friendship. He can also hear advice on dealing with life, how others have gone through his same problems, how they have dealt with them.

AA did not teach me how to not drink. It taught me how to live so thatI didn't need to drink. AA taught me to be a better person.

I like Cary's advice. There may not be a lot that can be done. My father was in a similar situation, although not as bad. We talked one day, I reminded him that I loved him and told him I would ride down to his state, pick him up, and bring him to live with me whenever he wanted. He thanked me, but chose to stay. As much as I feel he is sometimes in a bad situation, he and his wife do love each other, and do take care of each other in their own way.

You know Cary, when you first started this column, I did not like your advice much. I have certainly changed my mind over the years. You seem to be on the right page.

Original article: In search of young virgins

Why?

Funny, but you just don't see women lusting after male virgins. There seem to be lots of them. And many of them seem to like Star Trek.

Primary Donations.

As a resident of Georgia, I really do not have a Senator that represents me. So I will send campaign donations to any primary candidate who against any Democratic Senator that does not support the fillibuster. I will do the same for anybody who opposes a Democrat who supported the bankruptcy bill. I will send double donations to anybody who opposes those slimeballs Biden and Lieberman.

It is time we had Senators who will stand for Democratic values.

Big Problem!

One of the biggest problems with any survey is that smart people figure out how to avoid taking it. Any survey only includes people who are too dumb to read caller ID or to avoid survey takers in the mall.

Give me funny and smart. When asked by a friend if I had any problems dating a smart woman who made more money than me, I said "No!"

Bad Memory

Tim Grieve seems to have forgotten that the wingnuts did not always win their battles, but they did not stop. I think the left is saying that they are standing up and fighting, learning how to do it better, and learning how to lead their representatives to the battle better. The right has a head start and all the media at their disposal, but the left has the majority of the people behind them. They are learning and growing, like achild. Failure is a part of learning.

Tim Grieve, your analysis on this issues is a failure. I hope you learn from it.

To all the Democratic Senators who voted for cloture: My money and my time will go to anybody who challenges you in a primary. Lieberman and Biden challengers get double.

Remember Flip Flops.

If we can replace a few pro-Alito Dems, and the other Dems start figuring out that the left will work to primary their sorry asses if they do not support progressive causes, some of those Senators will start to think about voting liberal. All we need is enough new Dems replacing the beltway Dems for them to see the left is getting very serious. Those spineless pro-Alito wimps will be flip-flopping like a fish being caught on OLN. No more DINOs!

Tim, you are sounding like a DINO yourself. OR are you just a Republican writing for Salon?
