It was not Iowa. the state that sank Howard Dean, it was reporters. Reporters mimic each other relentlessly. and so whatever they say over and over again, must be right. Howard did not scream in victory, he merely yelled; but once one reported said he screamed, it was all over. Howard Dean would have been a formidable candidate to run against G.W.Bush. It is inexcusable that he is not.

Where is your mention of John Edwards, who incidentally came in Second.

Howard Dean did not have a scream moment. It was a total fabrication of the "media".

I can see what is happening, the reporters want Obama to win and so they are pushing for that. Hillary will win and we'll have 8 years of her. Hope is no substitute for experience. No matter what the college students or reporters say.
Edwards is a presidential candidate that all the reporters(including yours)don't want to see win. He is honest, and yes he lives in a large house(a fact reporters dwell on for some reason),and straightforward, and has government experience, a fact that most genXers find inexcusable.
It is getting quite sickening listening to reporters and pundits seeking to downgrade government experience. I find it appalling that reporters, supposedly of a liberal bent, are in the habit of downgrading politicians who are in government. I realize that many students don't want to acknowledge the benefits of any time spent in government, thanks to Bush & Cheney, the blow-em-up twins, however, there is something to be said for knowing your way around Washington D.C. when you're in a position of power.
You just can't let it go. It's Obama this and Obama that. Clinton grabbing victory from yhe jaws of defeat, etc. Finally? This is only the second test. Give it a rest.
Apparently you can't be against Sen.Obama without being a racist. I've heard this song before and it was wrong then.
For once, a reporter is right on the money.
Here, here. Conason is right about the media and so is Brokaw. I don't even support Hillary, but it is shameful how she has been treated, her whole political life and Bill, also. Spending 70+ million to catch Mr. Clinton after a blow job in the White House is excessive even for the Republicans. Then the media hounded them about Whitewater, which didn't even involve them. It is a national disgrace, but the media is a national disgrace.
Joe Conason and Glenn Greenwald are the best writers on your staff, along with Joan Walsh.
Oh Please. Tim Russert needs his mike cleaned. All the reporters are looking for a reason that Hillary beat Obama in New Hampshire. It couldn't be that the voters liked her more, they must be racists to disagree with the reporter/pundits What Bullshit!
Give it a rest, already. Reporters can't stand that Obama is not walking away with the nomination, so they have to make up a perfectly abysmal story of what Sen. Clinton and her husband said. It is disgusting. But if the news media said it on TV, it must be true.
Hillary did not mis-speak about Rev. King. No Matter how many times you say she did. it does not make it so. I realize the difference between perception and reality. However, Dean did not scream, and Bill and Hillary did not speak against Blacks.
Mr. Greenwald is right on the mark concerning 'Judicial Activision' as perceived by current Republicans.
Hillary's win in New Hampshire was not a sympathy backlash, no matter how much you want it to be.
What happened to Missouri in your incredibly thorough appraisal.
Very subtle, but give it a rest. You and the rest of the 'media'need a wake up call. Firing Wolf and Tim would be a good start. Anybody with a name like Wolfgang needs to be reminded of who he is, really.
If you'd all quit talking amongst yourselves and listen to your people, you'd understand why Hillary is winning. You "reporter" types think you have the inside track, you don't. you are the ones whom everyone is discussing. Your obvious bias for Obama.
