Thank GOD there is some sense in Congress. Even the Government's own Congressional Budget Office reports that OBAMACARE will bankrupt the United States. Obamacare or a single payer healthcare system is NOT the way and in the out years...according to the CBO will cost 25 TRILLION dollars. What is Obama trying to do ???? I will tell you...he is trying to DESTROY the best health care system in the world instead of fixing the existing system. Of the 2 approximately 30 % not covered in the United States a large number are students and some who choose to not purchase health care but CHOOSE to spend their money on recreation, personal possessions and all manner of other PERSONAL choices. Here is the solution....tighten up the existing Medicare system to protect against FRAUD, leave employee sponsored medical care alone, create a government sponsored CLINIC system to treat (minor) emergencies for those not covered...something like PRIMECARE...or the like in just about every town and beg in the United States. STOP paynig for ILLEGAL ALIENS...this is what is bankrupting most hospitals today as ILLEGALS pay nothing and do not belong here but if they are going to work here ...let their EMPLOYERS pay for their health care instead of passing the bill onto the Amarican taxpayer forcing a subsidation of CHEAP LABOR with no cost benefit to the American tax payer. Force the uninsured to purchase Catastrophic medical care...subsidized by the Federal government with a cost for person or family based on taxable income. The cost of this would be insignificant compared to OBAMACARE. I am a disgruntled Democrat who voted for change but now want Obama to "Keep the Change" !!! I wish I had not voted Democrat> I am changing my voter registration to Independent and will vote Independent or Republican in 2010. I have had more than enough of this run away....irresponsible behavior from the Liberals in our Congress. They have GOT TO GO !!
