The Silent War

After eight years of astronomical defense expenditures--continuing even with a war critic in office--is it embarrassing to even mention 9/11?

Where is the memorial that was to be built? Where is the national outrage and unity? Where are the tears? Where is the righteous dissent?

Instead, we're subjected to conspicuous absence, a soviet-style media "disappearing" of the Endless War.

Qui tacet consentit?

OMG! Jimmy Can Read Our Minds!

  • Joe Wilson just didn't want Barry comin' to his home to "bust up a chiffarobe" for his wife.

Listen...the last thing the government wants right now is the people of the United States focused on its actions: lack of mortgage lending and corporate oversight, fathomless bailouts to banks and automakers, endless war and defense appropriations, ubiquitous surveillance and the end of privacy rights, the tanking economy and imbalance of trade, the eventual government takeover of healthcare, ad nauseam.

World rulers use race, class, age, religion, etc., to divide and conquer.

The continued use of Race is the greatest racism.

The real issue here is the psychotically wealthy elites using any and every knee-jerk hot button to divert attention from their ultimate goal: a Consumer-Slave class for everyone but themselves.

Trust Your Instincts

Joan, follow your first feeling; trust your initial reaction; don't over-think the issue.

Pelosi is always politically premeditated, never spontaneously emotional. I wonder what will happen next, now that she is warning of "violence."

Whatcha Gonna DO?

They're sticking it to you...so what are you going to do? You're not really doing so well, are you? The number of people under the poverty line went up again...does that surprise you? You're not doing as well as your parents, and your children and grandchildren will do even worse. Generational theft is the new buzzword in Washingtion D.C. Let's simply call it economic enslavement. What will you do about it?

Change the rules and live out the changes. Many have recently proposed simply not paying their mortgages or credit cards, as a form of peaceful protest. Can you think of any other peacefully disobedient remedies?

Stranger Danger!

"...Know their orientation" at nine, ten, eleven???

The people who are pushing the "scientific" envelope of early childhood sexuality should have a very high security clearance, and even then...

Who are these creepy "scientists" obsessed with innocent kids, following them around?

What good does this information do us? Or should I say them?

Is there a cultural or political agenda going on here that requires some kind of legal disclaimer or warning message?

Would you straight readers with kids want these leering grant-rats watching your kids...asking them "questions?"

How much does a childhood sexuality researcher make a year? How much "leisure" time do they have? Where do they "vacation?"

Does this make for "stimulating" cocktail party conversation? And if so, to what sort of people?

Shouldn't that grant money be going to some research or program to "teach Johnny to read?"

Who are these people who are preoccupied with little Johnny's or little Janie's private thoughts, and shouldn't there be a public website tracking their whereabouts?

Yeah! Who are thess weird, sniggling, self-important "scientists?"

Hey! "Researchers"! Leave them kids alone!

Saint FDR and Friar Keynes?

Lind's premise that "the U.S. could have promoted a version of the FDR-Keynes world order" after WWII is completely false: the world of FDR and Keynes no longer existed. FDR was not some otherworldly benevolent being; he was a crony for internationalist bankers and robber-barons with a democratic socialist coating. Keynesian economics was being challenged by international monetarist advocates.

What about the U.S. "containment" policy, which was cynically used by war profiteers to propel Korea, Vietnam, and every other Cold War conflict and tension? These can't be thrown at the feet of Clinton/Bush, as the mindset of globalization, monetarization and internationalist control preceded them. FDR's United Nations myth is manifested in global energy trusts, endless regional conflicts, fear politics, autocratic, anti-democratic governance, increased poverty and the near-perfect concentration of wealth.

The American system was gamed from its outset. The "revolution" was a power play by jilted American wannabee-noblemen against their British Board of Directors. The ruthless control of land, slaves and capital was always the goal--not "democracy" and the Jeffersonian perpetual revolution.

Washington, King George, FDR, Clinton and Bush all have infinitely more in common with each than with the nameless serfs they lorded it over.

Arguing Over Semantics?

Golly Gee!! We were wrong about them all along! Let's invite their terrorist proxies over for pie tonight! They'll bring the the IED's and after-dinner mints! Yuk, yuk, yuk!

Only Nowhereman can get elected nowadays

Yeah...no record of his birth, no high school or college transcripts, no job history, no state or federal legislation authored, no specific campaign platform past "hope, dreams, and change," no presidential accomplishments--only one failure after another.

But he's working on taking over a seventh of the U.S. economy. That will be one hell of an accomplishment!

Would Gandhi even accept a Nobel Peace Prize now?

Nominations for the Prize closed on February 1, 2009!

Twelve days into his presidency?

For nuclear non-proliferation? Iran is on the verge of making nukes!

For a "new climate" in international relations? After eight years of Bush's cowboy politics, doesn't that seem more like a Parthian shot at Bush, than a bona fide accomplishment for Obama?

WTF?! This a cynical joke!

The Last Spasm of BDS?

Obama's nomination had to have been conceived long before he was even elected. The vindictive idea was probably hatched when the Obama-McCain pre-election polls were assuring an Obama victory in November.

It's a (final?) example of the "Bush Derangement Syndrome" which induced apoplectic fits in his mortal enemies world-wide.

God, I'd hate to be Barack about now. First the Olympics, now this? How embarrassing.
