Another horrific column by Ms. Walsh. that demands response for to deny the truth within the tenet of what Rev. Wright has said in the full speech that was so 'Clipped/distorted' and grafted from a 'You Tube Short' by the media .... and to deny the very real human message he conveyed in his most eloquent and lively conversation with Mr. Moyers is dishonest at best and evil to the core.

Repression and Racism are as Real in America today as they were 50 years ago --- You are trying to deny this in large part by what you are condemning Rev. Wright for saying .....

It is time that you and millions like you went back to school again Joan to learn about 'Civil Rights' & 'The Struggle Against Repression' and hopefully you will have many classmates to go with you to take much needed lessons in the 'Humanities' …. You will have to ’Re-Educate’ before you can lay any moral claim in the realm of 'Journalism' .... you are condemned by your actions – not by association -- as you and many of your ilk have done to Senator Obama!

Perhaps we can start by suggesting that you realize that what Rev. Wright in all his rage was speaking out about was the sort of smarmy self-righteousness that Americans like you try to intone while committing unspeakable verbal and violent physical acts on others … In America --- and around the world!! .... and yet you ... and many of your countrymen are trying to call down 'unearned' grace by insisting on an apology from a speaker of the truth ...

You ask for a retraction of the words from one who is trying to remind you of the true content of much of your "War prayer"* style of journalistic play-acting while you dismiss any criticism of American Character & Government "Integrity" ..... and this after the evil and malignant conduct of a neo-conservative administration that has destroyed America's Glory and Dream while laying waste the hope of the dispossessed to see justice yet take root in much of the world .... *(Look it up and learn)

Mark Twain was right for it seems "Only dead men can tell the truth in this world." …. The attack on Barack Obama because of his nominal association with a sojourner for the truth has now entered a stage of viciousness unforeseen by many of us who thought higher of some of the members of America’s Fourth Estate …. Mind you should/could this old Geezer have expected anymore from those same media who pandered to the War-mongering executive team that has led America into the daily evil and harm that currently transpires around the globe as you bring ”Freedom” to so many whether they want it or not ….. so that all can have the benefits(?) of global corporate capitalism …. The Media who are ’Vetting’ Obama are the same sleazy inept crowd who brought you Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld et al ….. and showed their superb capacity to adjudicate character back then ….

The particular blind patriotic and religious fervor that seems to be intoned by yourself Ms. Walsh as you condemn Rev. Wright .... and by association Senator Obama …. Leaves me to believe that there is indeed a day of reckoning at hand for Americans and many of you who represent a 'Sick/Ill-educated and Illiterate' Media so full of Bitterness & Gall may be quite astounded at the come-uppance …. for it will be a reckoning likely brought about [as Moses said to Pharaoh] ”By your words out of your own mouth” …..

Even though my wife and I will be flying this summer to see grandchildren in Europe I agree with what philulm said in an earlier post ... We should all boycott the airlines as much as is practical and possible …

Most of us would find that a 'slowing' in the pace and frequency of flying ... a mode of travel that is oft times unnecessary - Would likely improve everyone's psyche and certainly be a financial savings to boot!

Incidentally the only thing that makes me grind my teeth are the current crop of “Madly mumbling media mavens most maliciously & mawkishly mirroring menial mental mentors mouthing misanthropy” ....

Talk about ’Distractions’ …. They are same irresponsible media who enabled two (2) Bush Terms by accepting and repeating items of obfuscation and reporting on irrelevancies … a process that enabled the ’Swift boating’ concept of reportage to become an acceptable substitute for ethical investigative journalism …

Lazy media will likely pave the way for a McCain Whitehouse come November …. Sigh!
