Original article: Poor America

That's 'Spellin be' to the current occupant

Marvelous bit of rambling on the duplicity of the chiefs of the financial fiefdom and the fault line running back to lazy language that ties the houses of the demented dollar dealers to the denizen of the decider...

Count me in as one of those who has signed up for a membership in the "Correctness Party, the party of good spellers, of people who pay attention to details." .... Would that we could send a fair number of the ’Nattering Nabobs of Negativism” back to school for remedial work as well .... for indeed my blood boils when watching what is spewed forth from the ’Telly-Belly of the Beast’ each day …

A fine line of lively loquaciousness …. And a good mid-week to all of you with the Concise Oxford close at hand!

These are the times that try mens (And womens) souls

The morbid spectacle of the American primaries and the run up to the general election gives many of us who are citizens of other countries little hope for the future of the world this is especially so when we see the distractions of the diatribes of devotees of the absurd as played out in your mass media ...

Your society and its media mechanisms always seem to find away to rave ridiculous, obscure truth and kill hope ... Indeed it seems that even if Obama were ahead 80/20 in the polls …. there would likely be very calculated attempts to keep him and those who think like him from ever gaining or exercising power to try and make a more just world ...

Clinton and McCain are people with limited vision and perspectives narrowed by their own ignorance --- an ignorance that is not ’Cured nor abated’ by age itself … Mr. Obama is hopeful only because he is still to innocently young to realise how horribly ill the entire human species is … and how specifically ill the American public are in oh so many ways ….

Sorry but this Old geezer has just had his fill of the sad state of human efforts of late … America was a noble dream at one time … it has of late degenerated into a nightmare where pundits of the entire political spectrum (Many with nominal IQ’s and sick hearts and minds) get ’Equal’ air time … such ’Equality’ of air-time accessibility is not an indication of the strength of Democracy ---- but rather an indication of the dearth of intellect!

Spin is in … lies are abounding … hate is rampant … ignorance is overwhelming … --- The sorry reality is that millions of your own children are ill-educated, ill-fed, ill-housed and ill-treated and still the chatter continues about the nonsensical nihilist necessity of war and capitalism to bring your brand of ”Freedom” elsewhere … for humanities sake please look in the mirror!!!!

“This is the way the world ends … this is the way the world ends ---- Not with a bang but a whimper!”

All my best intentions … from an Old Geezer in the North Woods of Canada who sends his best to those thoughtful people in the USA who love ’peace’ and all their fellow man/women.

Original article: Theirs not to reason why

Amen

This is one of those pieces that stands out for its unblemished patriotism in the best form ...

Bravo Mr. Kiellor the Continental Congress would have had you working with Jefferson & Adams on the founding documents had you lived in that time!

Darkness spreads across the American political landscape all to quickly!

We do not see Mr. Obama in suspended animation … but we do see him in a contest that is all too predictable in its possible outcomes and end results …

From here in the North Woods of Canada we are observing the most ludicrous accumulation of wasted digital diatribes regarding the run up to the American election in November that one could ever imagine ---- Please take note: There is a chance that a truly "Dark Horse" (Not a black candidate) will emerge and take everything form the electorate in an event/outcome not yet spoken to ...

That sort of unexpected outcome is eerily a more likely scenario than the predictions and prognostications combined with the vast sweep of partisan articles, posts, blogs, network news, cable rants etc that are inundating the people with slavish drivel and tedious claims and observations ... In truth strong men weep when they see such immaturity rampant in the public discourse.

It would seem that the chances of seeing the lives of the vast majority of the American people actually improve in quality of life are somewhat less than average ... and the fault (to borrow an old passage) "Dear Brutus lies not in our 'Stars' but in ourselves" ... One wonders if anyone besides observers in a far off land are the only ones who truly take stock of the "American Condition" and observe how their communications sphere has gone so sadly awry!

We wish you all God’s Speed …. From the beautiful quiet serene hamlet of Weldon Saskatchewan where we shudder at the utterly painful contortions of the neighbouring country to the south of us that is so captive to the forces of evil and senility that it is apparent that the successor to Bush will likely have "The Ring" .... and all efforts for humanities future/sake will likely end in darkness and travail ...

PS: Universal Medicare, decent housing and lack of hunger can be a wholesome reality in even a blatantly capitalist society --- just turn/take your gaze off of your large American navel for a moment and look northwards for a working example ....

Original article: Thank you, Rush Limbaugh!

Gender is not the issue

The fact that Ms. Clinton is an undesirable candidate cannot be obscured by the weak semantics of Ms. Walsh ... and shame on her for making the effort!

Original article: The urge to compete

Another fine observational article from the Gifted Garrison

You have to be a certain age to gather the sort of wisdom that this little ditty describes ... I'm hoping that that certain age is upon me shortly.

Hmmm ... a veiled Anti-Obama diatribe against another Anti-Obama Diatribe .. stop this Bull!

This sort of petty article is not what I come to Salon to read about ... for all of our sake cut it out!
