I'm sorry Joan but I also am a white person and I take great offense at your remarks. Mr. Obama is being 'grilled' by all 'American' media in a manner that reflects the very sick society we have in the world … and in particular here in North America.

Perhaps it is the experience of sixty years, perhaps my multi-racial family, perhaps the integrated workplace I have been employed in for forty years ... but all the 'innuendo' that is laid out even by the most professed 'well-meaning' white people just nauseates me ... Black people have the right to more respect than has ever been given them and part of that respect is not to 'bully' someone or infer a need for greater "Purity of Purpose" ...

Having been raised with awareness of the "Daily" racially insensitive remarks and aspersions of the hundreds (Nay Millions in fact) hideous 'white' humans I am without any misgivings deeply ashamed of the 'pale' spectrum of the homo sapiens species, and it would be better if many in the media - including yourself just learned to 'Drop It' until you come to a greater understanding of the offensiveness of the questions about and directed at Barack Obama related to ‘racial’ issues ...

The current media bent is akin to listening to Adolph Hitler chastising non-vegan smokers about their ‘Moral Purity’ --- and he was a vegan & non-smoker who did exactly that … but somehow we all remember that he was the penultimate bigot/racist of recent memory.

I suggest you all just shut up and tend to your own souls … The man is a notch above what you have had for politicians in America in a long time … Carpe Diem and elect him so that the embarrassment and shame of America might be healed in some small manner … you as a country do need him more than he needs you!
