are you sure this isn't from a freeper?

Hard to believe this tripe comes from a US Col. Amazing.

I'm not sure which is worse

That it came from the Colonel (making the drunken stupor theory more likely...) or that it didn't -- which implies that someone spoofed his address, created this drivel and actually sent it to Glenn. Security hole in the .mil server, an 'inside' job, or ?? Bizarre is right.

update 4 hostility

seems consistent with the email quoted in full that he's now denying. It almost doesn't matter if that message is proven or not -- his reply alone is openly hostile and insulting to an author and blogger with a national following. It's not at all the level of respect I'm accustomed to hearing from those in the military -- particularly one in such a responsible position. Bravo, Col. Boylan -- heckuva job.

this is Petraeus' PR guy?

You know, it would be embarrassing if he made these comments semi-anonymously on Free Republic and got found out. That this came directly from his email address -- spoofed or not -- is really unprofessional. In the private sector it would be cause for dismissal for someone, anyway -- probably cause for reassignment in the military (a la diapered astronaut). It will be interesting to see how this all shakes out. So far, I'm unimpressed with the Colonel's response.

straight out of an SNL skit

This passed for satire not too long ago. Obviously its time for another 'blogger ethics panel' to correct the problem.

proving once again that facts

either 1. have a liberal bias, or 2. can be ignored to make a point, as long as it makes the dems look like wimps. Another 'news' outlet turned reality show.

@ spocko

Dem leadership ought to demand a real retraction or just shut them out completely -- why encourage them at all? Show the worst offenders for the one-sided 'professionals' that they are.

well done

I only wish you didn't have to point it out.

Rove's strategy would work better

if the general public didn't already know the Chimporor has no clothes. The saddest thing about this is that so many Dems still think he does (or at least wearing briefs ;-P).

The man is a rogue president -- everything he's doing is CYA... and our service members and tax dollars get flushed down the toilet along with his reputation. There are a few good congress people out there, but they need a lot more support from their colleagues. It's time to say "No cocktail weenies for you!"
