Being Bright

Buchanan has thrown the first volley to get the Latino vote for Republicans in the next federal election. Calling Sotomayer "not that intelligent" in light of attending top schools in the country with honors, is utter nonsense. It is Buchanan who is "not that intelligent".

Being Accountable For Misdeeds

Petty crime low income accountability for stealing from a pizza stand is not equal to high crime and misdemeanors from high positioned people. It's just not....ensuring petty crimes are stopped is high priority because the chances of stopping that crime type is stronger versus the well-intentioned ambiguous mind of your average politico. Robert Jackson had it right at Nuremberg, our civilization cannot endure without accountability, obviously the Bush war crime criminals did'nt believe that, because they operated with the idea they'd "see another day".

Things Will Be Allright

Unless, the Clinton's have a psychotic breakdown, they're not going to upstage Obama, if the Clinton's wanted to so badly save us from continued calamity, they'll let Obama have his day in the sun.

Change, Change, It's Happening

Flip-flopping mania is here to stay, that old Machevelian adage is still going strong after several centuries,"the ends justify the means". Yeah, the American people are looking for change, well it's happening right before our eyes.

Someone's Out There

Code Pink, thank God some organization persists, extraordinary tactics don't matter in this fight, the media has colluded with the Bush administration in numbing most of the American public into submitting to their wayward will. I have been on the streets with others against the war, yes it gets depressing, when there could be so many more, my voice in the largely empty forest is better than no sound.

Lack Of Education Is The Key To Winning Votes

The state of California and it's horrible prison system needs to release 40,000 prisoners to have a healthy functioning operation as noted by a federal overseer, who is responsible for remedying the current dysfuntional mess. The voters of my state has seen it fit to pass laws that can incarcerate people for up to thirty years for stealing a piece of pizza from a standing bystander. You may say I being hyperbolic, the public and the legislature have been in frenzied paranoia to stop crime, at the expense of contemplating it's effect on the state budget and it's 80% prison recidivism rate. Our society needs to be educated on the dynamics of crime.Twenty second sound, bites on the news and political campaign ads, hardly bring any lucidity to the crime issue.

Moving To A New Day, Hopefully

The Clinton's have had their day in the sun. Let's move on , I don't know for sure if Obama will turn this nation in a new direction.I'd rather give him the chance, and see how the dice roll. Is he a Kennedy style-liberal? I'm not sure what that means, is it the conciliator that Obama espouses to be? Regardless, it is going to be a gargantuan battle to get Congressional Republicans to move from their heavy right leaning ways.

The Mystery Of Luck

Luck counts, whether you have all the skills in a particular endeavor or not, the uncertainty of benevolent unforeseen forces effecting fate is reality. The human factor of life's unpredictability, is part of politics too.

Opiate Of The Masses

Obama was right, when things don't go right for the American

people, they can get bitter, spirituality is a means to deal

with the unpleasant, bitter anger. There is no reason to attack Obama because he espouses a belief akin to the communist idea that religion is a susceptible to a false panacea for the masses. In my travels throughout the world, humanity hungers for spirituality as means to understand their lives, there is nothing wrong with this drive. It can be a problem, when spirtuality becomes a front to escape the unpredictabilty of human relationships, lack of employment, the evitability of death, political impotence, etc.

Hm.....bowling...well bowling

So Obama bowls, he tries and looks miserably human, it's not a major role model action. It is good to see a political ego succumb to ineptness, like we all do at times.

The Beanbag Syndrome

Being sat on like a beanbag is a tough proposition, Hillary's potential V.P., is in for the fight of his or her life to breathe.

All Good Things Must Come To End

Brett Favre had numerous days in the sun. His "Oh shucks" wonderment of life in the fast lane of professional football was waning last season. His career, unpretentious public demeanor made him accessible as a human being.Under that image, seemingly lay a fiercely willed professional athlete, that's the only way to survive in that competitive universe. Who was the real Brett Favre? It is hard to say.

Hillary At The Road Taken

Whether a metaphor or dogged defiance, she is clinging by tooth and nail. She is a grinding politician who has no where but to go up at this point. Her wrong headed miscalculation of Obama was based on sheer pragmatism...Obama has caught our imagination, this issue of experience is moot in the light of hope. Ms. Clinton is a politician, and this is just another fight, she will live to fight another battle, but will probably lose this one March 4.
