I enjoyed watching them. A+++ would watch again.
If they made an add about prostate cancer, and made it all sexy, and said "save the erections" and had some sexy guy walking around being all.. erect or something.. I wouldn't feel insulted by knowing that the commercial was made assuming I'd think it was hot. It doesn't mean they think that the audience has one track minds, but enjoying attractive sexual imagery is a healthy aspect of most minds. Can you deny that everybody enjoys seeing some jiggly boobies? Even gay sailors.
I didn't think the problem was that women in wealthy nations don't have children as compared to women in developing nations. I thought the problem was that women in developing nations, with no access to education, contraception or abortion, tend to have a shitload of children (>10 each). Sure women in developed nations have children later now, but they're still only having 1-3; basically a replacement rate.
I'm so happy that he's an old man now, and will probably die in a jail cell. I think he deserves to be shot in the knee caps and beheaded, but dying in a jail cell should suffice.
With the exception of the victim, anyone who thinks he should not be punished for what he did absolutely disgusts me. He raped a protesting 13 year old in the ASSHOLE. YOU FUCKING DISGUST ME.
As if this guy sees the face of God in all the children and prostitutes of the third world nations and cares for them as Jesus would. As Fucking If. This man should stop bearing false witness and go suck a fucking dick.
The author is doing a dirty job, but accusing the author of being responsible is like accusing a fireman of starting the fire. They're just cleaning up after the fact, and someone's got to do it. I thought this was a sad article, and interesting. It's not the author's fault that these people were foreclosed upon.
I think the author definitely has sympathy for the people she's cleaning up after, but has become numb to it. As she says, she's not demonstrative, and telling her friends excruciatingly depressing stories about finding a child's artificial leg is something that she found to be alienating, and has stopped doing. It's like, if you're going to agonize over a person's every physical hurt, you won't last long as a surgeon. Yet, we need surgeons and don't accuse them of being unfeeling and profiting off the injuries of others.
Please update with the news that this guy has been arrested.
I can't believe anybody would buy instant coffee ... and at a "coffee house," for Christ's sake! If I was the barista, I'd fall on my sword!
I don't think the ad is meant to appeal to the left or right wing.. I think it's meant to appeal to MOST people who think that standing up and yelling at a town hall is stupid and rude.
"Unthinkable? Then think up an alternative, non-violent solution to the Obama problem."
What a douchebag! We already have a system in place for accomplishing this very thing and it's called an election. And Obama won. Haha!
"There were thousands of protests against Bush and plenty of calls for his removal or impeachement[sic]."
All of those things are legal. Calling for a military coup... not so much!
In my household, we canceled cable television, but we pay for Comcast cable Internet only. We have a computer hooked up to the TV and, and we watch our favorite TV shows either on the Internet or from a portable HD full of booty.
I hated Comcast because they decided my old modem was too old, and "turned it off" and refused to turn it back on. We had to buy a new model or lease one from them. So we switched to AT&T DSL, where we had to buy a new modem anyway, right, we thought it was better than giving the money to those assholes at Comcast. Turns out they're bigger assholes at AT&T. We had a connection problem and AT&T said if they send someone out and they don't find anything wrong, they're charging us a hundred bucks or more for the visit. We told them to cancel our subscription and went right back to Comcast, a little bit wiser. They're all assholes, they're all charging too much.
I hope they find them photos! Child porn charges! Yay I can't wait til they barbecue Polanski's ass! He's gonna die in jail! Yeehaw! I think in this particular instance, prison rape would be very appropriate.
The $8,000 tax credit for new home buyers is having some impact on that surge in spending. My family just took advantage of that and I swear to God, between us and the seller, we just pumped more than twice that amount back into the economy, between the lawyers, agents, maid, movers, contractors, day workers, inspectors, electricians, appliances, paint supplies, floor refinishers, etc... holy shit am I sick of giving people my money! Absolutely would not have done this, could not have done this, without the credit.
Over the years, my family has been through unemployment, been without health insurance, been deep in debt, been on government programs, hell my mama grew up in the projects. Now some of these letter writers are making me feel guilty that I have a secure job,I don't know if that was the intention. Or one letter writer assumed that people with secure jobs are glad their neighbors are unemployed. That is some really bitter fruit, I'm sorry anybody would think that, I know it isn't true for the most part, people who are securely employed feel very lucky and very nervous to make any investments or big purchases. No small part of the reason I jumped on the new home buyer credit was because it allowed me to do something to help the economy when I absolutely otherwise would not have done so. I really, really don't like spending money.
