As a woman watching porn, I empathize (which is why porn generally turns me off, but that's another other subject). When there is guy on guy action, I can't really emphasize because most of the action is dick-centered and I have no dick.
So telling teen girls that their vaginas aren't icky sewers to be ignored or filled with chemicals is a progressive sexual value which is akin to child molestation. Okay, thanks for your input, crazy person.
of course any lady in power has to be described as "ambitious"
As a consumer, I get a really high interest yield on my checking account if I use my debit card as a credit card. I'm not going into debt to do this (I have no consumer debt). Basically, the bank is cutting me in on the interchange fee profits. I enjoy it, but I suppose I'll find some other way to earn interest if someone puts a stop to it.
when did Oklahoma's parks get so crime-ridden?
"the research conducted by Coates and Herbert is especially devastating, because it suggests that actually being involved in the guts of financial markets as currently structured is crazy-making"
Would this only apply to men? Wouldn't women still be able to be rational actors? Or do they have enough testosterone in them to make them crazy as well?
Excuse me for being happy about this news, but does this mean that if I have a stack of Euros sitting around, it would benefit me to wait a few months to exchange them, wait for the value of the USD to go down some more?
My thoughts exactly! But it's kind of like Dell selling laptops for Ladies.. sure it's pink and it smells good, but what's inside it, what are the rates, what are the benefits; these "Just for you, Ladies!" items tend to be really shitty in the nuts and bolts department, as if we won't notice because it's so cute. Ooh, look, something shiny! *wanders off*
And the American people, that Obama is in power now and not Cheney.
Everyone's a critic, huh. Since everyone is posting their opinion of this piece and taking sides with or against you, I should say I thought this piece was cute and refreshing. I kind of know where you're coming from since I've flabbergasted sexist men before (by having boobs and understanding math and physics, isn't that adorable?). As to your age, as patronizing as everyone is being about a 22-yr-old, I'd like to see their 22-yr-old selves write something as insightful. Didn't think so. I like to hear what an intellectual young black man thinks of the world. And I like to read the responses. Black people don't have enough of a voice in MSM, and I'm interested to hear it, ok?
Is he not Hispanic?
What the fuck kind of name is Krikorian? How do you pronounce that without the assistance of an empty potato chip bag? I think I'll just pronounce it "dipshit."
It seems like everyone is having a field day tearing this woman apart, saying that she's so ugly now (she's not) and what a bad writer she is, what a bad person she is. I'm very interested in reading the book, now. I want to know what she has to say, maybe somewhere in the book she defends herself from such catty women and bitter men.
I'd like to use most of these letters and the article itself as Exhibits A-Z: Why it can be very hard to be the pretty girl. She grew up looking like that, and people assume because she's beautiful that she had all the breaks in life. Right.. she probably had to deal with being preyed upon by men constantly (from before she was old enough to even know what they were giving her so much attention for), and being despised by women just for how she looked (oh and because of the unwanted male attention. thanks ladies), and somewhere along the line developed the kind of low self-esteem that involved dating men who treat her like shit and doing a lot of drugs. Yes, life is so easy for beautiful girls.. the most beautiful girl I knew in high school had her nose broken on a locker because some other girl's boyfriend thought she was pretty, and was shunned and harassed by the other girls pretty frequently for similar "infractions." And it was sooo safe for her to turn to the only people who gave her positive attention.. right. If life is so easy for beautiful girls, why does it seem like it would have been much simpler for her if she were more ordinary-looking?

I suggest you go to page 2 and read the letter titled "IT'S ABOUT TIME"
