I'm all for parking Rice and Cheney in the middle east. In fact we should park them there until their war crimes trial is finished. They can draw straws with Saddam over who gets the rope first.
Great idea Rick, nothing says "We aren't really sincere about our grievences, but just a tool of the US than a boatload of money funneled into the bus strikers campaign. But hey, if your channeling MLK over this, my suggestion is you go coach on that Condi and Dick flight to the Middle East, hop a bus to Iran (hop a bus, get it?) and then march down the middle of Tehran in support singing "We shall overcome." Let me know how that works out for you.
As for the latest Florida political moron? Well, I think certain historical documents recall JFK having the same idea. Of course, at the time Castro wasn't one and a half foot in the grave like he is now. (Of course I'm no JFK, but I think he might have had second thoughts had he known Raul, not Fidel was in charge, but I digress). Still, if your heart is really into it, a piece of advice. Lay off the LSD laced cigars (he gave them up last decade) and avoid taking open top drives through Dallas; if you get my drift.
Militaries are what you use to solve a military problem. They are not what you rely on to escape a political problem.
Tell me this, and Brownie, and Rummy and everyother time he gives his 110% support isn't like Al Pacino kissing his brother before saying "It was you. You set me up." Then comes the ride with Clemenza sitting behind you.
Thank you for a timely opinion on what a horrible son of a bitch this asshole really was. If only we could try Kissinger in his place. If it weren't for the US there would never have been a Pinochet and that is the worst of it.
Rot in hell you worthless murderous piece of crap.
But death and suffering to this government that used its power to put a known corrupt murderer into power when it could have supported a socialist even if he was wrong. He wasn't a murderer. But we are.
Donald Rumsfeld as a young boy:
Part 1, at the dinner table.
"Are there vegetables still on my plate? Why good golly, yes!"
"Do parents want their children to eat these vegetables? Oh, yessiree! Most definitely?"
"Are vegetables good for me? Well, I don't think any parent can know or not know whether vegetables really are good for anyone?"
"Will I eat my vegetables? Look, that is just one of those unknowns that can only be known after dessert."
Gaa! I am so sick of people running for president just because they want to be president. Look, people. Did you ever attend high school? Did anyone you know ever run for student council president or homecoming queen just because they actually wanted to do something other than burnish their colleg apps? Thought not.
Sadly our presidential contests are no different, and the only thing these bozos can talk about is how right or wrong their "message" is. Yes, I remember Edwards and his "two Amricas" message. Nice/sad to see he feels it was too narrow a message. Maybe his next one will be "three Americas." Yeah, that'll work. But then don't expect a plan. He didn't have one the first time. He didn't even claim to have a secret plan like Nixon did to end the Vietnam War (the secret: There was no plan, only rubes who believed in such).
Why oh why can't we have at least a choice to vote for someone who in normal times would rather be fishing, but runs for president because there are problems with this country and he or she has an idea to fix it, and isn't afraid to put forth and commit to that idea.
Say, like someone who wants to spend the long gone surplus on saving Social Security and Medicare, or maybe solving our dependency on middle east oil on conservation.
Sadly, the problem isn't Al Gore, or his ilk, but a media that does not know how to promote ideas only personalities.
The mainstream media is great at turning a spoiled hotel heiress with small breasts and even a smaller brain into a major celebrity. But they cannot promote the idea that maybe we ought to prepare for the future. Sadly, the future or anyone who thinks about it, doesn't wear see through blouses.
Now that we've got the Sunnis allying with Al Quaida and committed to suicide attacks against us, what better idea than to go to war with a shiite militia that will result in them allying with Al Quaida in their efforts to attack americans.
This is great. In just a few more years of this we will succeed in creating millions of muslims who will be so angry with us over there, they will gladly come and fight us here.
Just to be consistant, before we eventually leave in disgrace, lets attack and piss off the Kurds, too. They love that sort of thing.
