Thank you, short term memory news

Kerry and the Dems need to send flowers and thank you cards to Haggard. Were it not for his timely sexplosion the "liberal" press would be 24 hour news specials on how Kerry single handidly destroyed troop morale and lost Iraq. Now, Haggard is the new lede and even his quick resignation won't pull this off the front page until he at least enters rehab.

This is like when your favorite football team fumbles the ball on the opponant's 20 yard line, only to have the opposing team toss an interception on the very next play.

Nice pass Haggard.

Original article: The Fix

Don't beat yourself up, Burt

Had you landed the role the rest of the world would still be beating itself up.

Original article: Iraq? It's not my problem

Not front page news?

It's more important to me that some evangelical leader I never heard of had paid for gay sex? My tax dollars weren't spent on his meth and member habit, but they are being spent like a drunken GOP candidate on Iraq reconstruction. Now, Pryce says we should shut up and trust the administration, while Tom Reynolds goes on NPR and snaps at the interviewer claiming his party is providing oversight.

This article should be front page news under the headline: GOP Congressional Leaders Give Green Light to Corruption. It's more accurate than "Kerry Disses Troops."

More tales from non reality land

Howard Dean said capturing Saddam would not make America safer. Three years later no one can board a plane with more than four ounces of liquid toiletries in a zip loc bag, no one who attended that speech could enter without being scanned and lets not even mention how much "safer" our troops are in Iraq, let alone the Iraqis.

Wild applause

Those who serve are smart, patriotic and the best America has to offer. And thanks to Deadeye Dick, over 2,800 of them are now dead, and thousands more maimed.

A standing ovation complete with "Hooyas!"

While we weren't looking Osama secretly moved to Baghdad and Al Quaida is now controlling both the sunni insurgency and the Shia militias. The sectarian violence is obviously just a devious plot to trick us into thinking they aren't planning on invading the US and killing us, by pretending they are just killing eachother.

Can I get an amen? Amen! screams the crowd

But, thanks to Cheney the American people can rest assured that he will not let a few thousand dead soldiers scare the US away.

No! Never! Rousing chants of Onward Christian Soldiers

Rest assured, Cheney will gladly send every last soldier to his glorious patriotic death, just to show Osama how tough he and every American smart and well off enough to avoid service really are.

The crowd goes wild

So he didn't do blow, and
