Salon, your slip is showing...again
[Read the article: Who won Super Tuesday?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Once again, another graphic portraying Hillary as the next savior...and Obama as a sour-puss.
Just for that Salon, I'm boycotting your site...no more visits, no more posts, not until after the national convention...
-
I'm breaking my self-imposed boycott of Salon, just this one time...
[Read the article: My boyfriend danced dirty to make me jealous ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]And only so that I can say this on the forum, since I'm supposedly not "here" on Salon, as a protest to their over-fawning coverage of Hillary, despite Obama's march to the nomination...2 words for you, Salon, courtesy of Jon Stewart: Magic Pie Charts!
As my friend in college sez..."Bitch, you crazy!"
Once again, it's the same old story of love in Cary's column...a decidedly immature pair of yoots got married, spat out a few kids on their way to divorce court, separated, fucked around on their own, got back together out of convenience and all that...then this one incident (of supremely immature proportions, I'll agree on that) gets your pants in a wad, and then you start projecting your whole FUCKING FAILED relationship on this one incident...and you have the nerve to act surprised? To feel wronged by yo man?
Yes sir...that's your own guilty conscience harpooning the relationship again. Guilt that you know your man is good-for-nothing, that his excuse is lame at best, that he really doesn't respect you (or women in general...a real ladies' man this one is)...and despite all that, he's still living under your roof.
Yes, that's quite a catch you got yourself there.
I would be curious know, as Dr. Drew is quick to point out on his show, whether or not the LW's failing relationship is a symptom of the LW's own troubled upbringing...guess we'll never know, but then again, it doesn't really matter anyway.
DTMFA, lady. Search your feelings, you know it be true...BTW, good luck on raising the kids and all that...I'm sure the two of you are setting wonderful examples for them on how to f' up their own relationships in the future (again, listen to Dr. Drew on this one while you can to try and prevent any lasting, permanent damage to them).
Okay, back to my cave now...

Tnx. Afrogoddess, et al...
[Read the article: My boyfriend danced dirty to make me jealous ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just keepin' it real here, this one was too easy to call out on...the LW is missing the forest while worrying about all the trees in front of them.
And to Serious Funsalon:
"(BTW, semanticists who are stuck on Analyst's usage of "boyfriend and girlfriend" have to grow up too - they can call themselves anything they want, they don't have to be married to have a successful relationship, and success is completely subjective over a wide range of possibilities)"
I don't know what rock of moral relativism you crawled out from under, but how can you possibly call this relationship a "success," other than at reaping a harvest of sorrow for the 2 parties involved, and their children? Semantics or not, let's be honest here...there is a definite right-and-wrong universe out there, and this couple has crossed WAY over the line...

....Hillary again?
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's Texas-size moment ]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"The very tentative guess is that Hillary Clinton still managed to inspire voters in Texas and Ohio to look again, perhaps for the last time, at the candidate whom they are poised to jettison in favor of Barack Obama."
...this is such glowing language for a loser-candidate...the same kind of language I saw on this website when Gore officially threw in the towel after the 2000 election...yeah, that's a fine concession speech he gave. But to the victors belong the spoils, and it's been a Republican shit-burger for all of us for the last 8 years...to the detriment of our country.
Well, I'm fucking tired of it. The Democratic Party has finally grown some balls, and I'm not waxing nostalgic about our "gentler" times any more. That Democrat Party of the late 20th. Century is getting that proverbial final nail in the coffin...too bad the hammer fell on poor Hillary, but oh well. Time for the Xers to take over...

Tnx. VenetianMilwaukee...
[Read the article: Are you going to hell?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"80 Million (or 40 million), where are they?
80 Million Non-Belivers going to church? Well, yeah. Some of them are members or friends of a Unitarian-Univeralist Church, where all are welcome, believers, non-believers, Buddhist, Jewish, Sufi, Athiest and Agnostic. We gather for community, to support one another and to work out side of our church in our city and country to help our fellow human beings and the earth on which we live."
Stole my thunder, dammit! UU UNITE!!
I find it hard to believe, though, that John Marks sez there are 40 million non-believers going to church...UUs might account for 1 million (okay, I'll spot us 2 million), but where the hell are the other 38 million?
And to Kappakkaa (sic)...don't be so hard on the Beave...Salon is a left-wing political commentary-esque website. The last religious story I remember reading here was about that wack-o New Age guy who died a year or so back, and it was just an expose (although a good one, IMO)...Salon is no more capable of having a "spiritual" moment that the Wall Street Journal. It's a news website, not a David Thoreau book reading club. Salon tends to cater to a non-religious/secular type of reader, so you can't really blame them for pandering to said audience.
