Remember This Senators

As long as your so damn set on screwing the manufacturing sector of the US and in particular the Big 3...next time a hurricane or a nice set of tornadoes wanders through your constituency you can whistle dixie! Y'all seem to forget who sends MILLIONS to help the victims of your wonderful natural disasters...and if you want to cause a NATIONAL CALAMITY of massive proportions among the working class...so be it.

Remember, what comes around goes around and your last stab at the Blue States will haunt you all in the long run.

And lets look again at how much the Japanese and Korean auto makers subsidized by your tax dollars...spent almost a billion in Alabama to get those jobs.

I for one propose closing all those army and air force bases down there and shipping those jobs northward. Sounds like fun to me!

Railroad Seniority

Yes Patrick, railroad seniority works much the same way...as pointed out by some of the responding letters. Its all about TIME. I have 31 years in with a major railroad. My seniority would take me from St. Louis to Cleveland to Louisville and I could displace many people from some of the best jobs on the line....but I don't want to. I like the spot I'm in hearding boxcars around a less then major hub o' the system 5 days a week. Appreciate your column very much...amazing the parallels you guys have to railroaders too. Extra boards, prior rights, job bidding...even FELA and NTSB and staying in crummy hotels...ya gotta love it or ya really hate it.

50 Million Rubes?

So people actually voted for the republican candidates cause Sarah is cute? She has a marked lack of intelligence in all things government...except maybe Alaska government...took six colleges to get a degree? Maybe she should have tried online?

God in heaven! We actually have a president that can speak fluently and with intelligence, one that will ACTUALLY DO SOMETHING about this mess we're in!!!! Thank the powers that be...we the voters...that prevented this exception to logic and thought..from becoming the so called leaders of the free world.

Run this gene pool refugee in 2012 as the republican presidental candidate you morons. I welcome the challenge...small as it is.
