Interesting...
[Read the article: Gay, godly and guilty]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Jesus makes no mention of homosexuality in the Bible, in fact his parting words were something to the effect of, "above all else, love God and love each other". Some of the worst offenders of this ideaology are Christians themselves. It's also interesting to me that these people who want to change a person's sexuality are so mentally limited that they are incapable of putting themselves in the shoes of others.
I believe the golden rule is another version of the teachings of Jesus. Another problem with people who claim they are "Christian" is that many of these people have never even read the Bible, they just listen to fringe lunatics and base their opinions on these nuts and their own insecurities. It's a sin that the rest of us are forced to listen to them.

two peas in a pod...
[Read the article: Ban on gay marriage denies justice to children]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Nardwilly - "homsexual" ???
No name - read the Constitution. "...the right of life, liberty and the pursuit of
happiness.."
But really, thanks for your opinions. I think a lot of people enjoyed the laugh.

Not rich
[Read the article: On payday, it's good to be Rove]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You're kidding... that is a crap salary! I made close to that managing a Health Club! 7 years ago, $50,000 per year was considered "close to poverty level", in fact, I was in escrow on an $89,000, one bedroom condo off of Connecticut Ave. and was denied my loan (so I moved to California and bought a $300K studio instead in Pac Heights).
The fact that these guys are only pulling in $163K is really eye opening - and I would not call that "rich". But I get the point you're making.

fingers crossed...
[Read the article: Plame, Wilson file suit against Rove, Libby and Cheney]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]One can dream, can't they?

Laughing...
[Read the article: Easy debt cash diet now?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You gotta love the USA ! Oprah talking about financial difficulty is like the Pope talking about sex - neither of them HAVE ANY!

It must suck to be a Republican these days
[Read the article: Immigrants = livestock Baghdad = Washington]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Everytime you turn around, some Republican rep. is putting his or her foot in his or her mouth and not in a subtle way either. These clowns are saying incredibly intolerant, stupid, hateful things. Take the idiot from Alaska (what's his name?). He speaks as if he made it to third grade and then dropped out. The jackass from Georgia - he's publicly said that the department of education should be abolished completely and that the 10 commandments should be put in government buildings AND nine of those commandments "escape" his memory.
If I were a Republican (and I used to be), I would be so embarassed that I'd have to scrape the "George Bush is sexy awesome!" bumpersticker off of my Hummer....
There are COUNTLESS more examples but I've taken up enough space on Salon already. I'll let someone else have the floor.

This just in...
[Read the article: Is freedom still marching?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The United Nation's Human Rights experts have just chastised the U.S. in regards to human rights. It was quite a feat, but the Bush/Cheney/Rumsfeld fascism machine has done wonders. We've gone from a human rights world leader to an embarassment in only a few short years. I'd say that Bush's version of Freedom is marching strong!

Lance Armstrong
[Read the article: Burn your yellow wrist band?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]..what a fucking idiot.

Crazy with a "Z"
[Read the article: Z best]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]good lord! That was frightening and hideous at the same time. After watching this, I can see how everyone thought she was beating the living shit out of her gay husband, because in reality, she was only "performing" a few of her numbers when he must have simply gotten in the way... I mean, come on...the screaming, the flailing, that raspy, creepy, crackle laugh - who wouldn't think these were acts of agression? After seeing these videos, I'm afraid to come out of my house!
-
Not funny...
[Read the article: Close calls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Uh - I really don't get it. Is it against the law for people to "hook up" via the internet and chat rooms now? Was it a "joke" having naked man w/ dog and cool whip spliced in? Aside from that, was hte other guy really arrested? Was the girl posing as a minor?
Will someone PLEASE arrest the producers AND marketers of "Girls Gone Wild"?
What the hell?

Bush's exceptional move
[Read the article: "Pro-life" parents say stem cell veto's a "vote breaker"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The only move Bush could make that would benefit both science and the GOP is a move out of the White House and back to his "dude" ranch in Crawford, Texas. The only people who are "proud" of this buffoon are the extreme, loose-cannon, Re-pundit, lunatics who won't be happy until they turn this once great Democracy into a fascist, theocratic state.
Thanks to Bush and his administration, Republican has become synonomous with words like intolerance, hate, Beck, greed, O'Reilly, fear, Coulter, Hannity, Savage, AMTalk Radio - everything negative and destructive to this nation's soul.
Bush and his crew have all but destroyed true Christianity. If Jesus came back today and listened and watched and observed.... he'd proclaim (in silence) that he'd died for nothing, no one (except liberals) have heeded his words, and with one swift hand he would damn all of these greedy, war-waging, intolerant, fear-filled, church and state mixing, hate-filled racists to hell.
That would be another "exceptional move"

Other media outlets
[Read the article: We report, you decide]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]All of the cable news networks (CNN, MSNBC, etc.) are just lesser versions of FOX. None of them are "real" news. Depending on who owns the stations and depending on who's in office, determines what spin you get on these cable "news" outlets.
In order to be truly informed, you need to read many different publications, read many internet "moderate" blogs, read books written by people who have no current connection to one party in particular and come up with your own version of what's going on. It's surprising how clear things become once you "let go" of the crap they try to feed you.
Again, no big surprise that people who watch FOX enjoy being fed that brand of propaganda. Fear and anger tend to "rile up" insecure, scared people.

the follow up headline you didn't see...
[Read the article: And in other news, freedom is slavery and ignorance is strength]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"George W Bush Is As Blind As A Bat"

Wexler - a good guy
[Read the article: Coke and a smile]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Cheers to Wexler for indulging Colbert and showing the country that you can be a politician and have a sense of humour. You can tell that Colbert had a blast with him.
This feels as if it just may be a turning point in politics. Don't ask me why, it just feels that way...

"Aw" ??
[Read the article: Aw]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]....more like "Ew" ! What the hell is that ?
