  • I do not agree...

[Read the article: I've had it with my immature younger brother]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I have a younger brother who, is what I like to call, a "jackass". There are a few things that keep us from being close. First of all, I left home when I was 19, due to the fact that I recognized early that my parents had an unhealthy relationship and that they spent a lot of their time undermining the self-confidence of us, their two children. My brother, has to some extent, enjoyed the toxic environment and didn't leave home until his late 20's, still visiting often to get a big old heaping bucket full of dysfunction.

Now at 36, my brother is so full of anger that you can't have a conversation with him nor is he able to have a steady relationship with a woman. When it comes to family communication, he becomes "paranoid", thinking things like our grandmother calls 'everyone' but him (my parents have been successful at manipulating him to think that in the eyes of Grandmom, he's not "special").

He's the first one to get up and leave the dinner table during a discussion, the ONLY one to drop the occassional "F-Bomb" and walk away, and when you put all that aside and try to open up to him, he doesn't return the phone calls for 10 -11 months. No card or calls on my birthdays either (I'm the first one to call him on his birthdays).

My parents are still alive, but regardless, our father is "The Dad". When he's gone, he will still be "The Dad". Not me - I'm his brother and always will be just that. I had to grow up, accept responsibility for my actions and words, and learn life's lessons. It's high time he did. My parents have done enough damage by enabling him his whole life to say and do whatever he wants without any repercussion.

My whole life has been spent taking the high road, making the calls, pretending the screaming and insults didn't happen. Pretending as if name calling is just "his way" of saying, "I love you big brother.."

By allowing a younger brother to treat you like crap, you're sending the signal that it's fine - "go ahead, treat me like crap. You are younger and you don't have to take any responsibility for what you say and how you act..."

That is definitely not okay. When he realizes that his words and actions have cost him yet another relationship with a loved one, maybe he will grow up.

  • ain't love grand?

..it's sounds as if they're trying to get into each other's pants. Maybe Cheney will let Hannity carry his books home from school...

  • at a loss...

[Read the article: Sharks -- they're just like us!]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I don't find anything of much interest about a shark swimming around, casually taking "bait" from the surface of the water.

What is this and why? Coffee? I didn't see any coffee. Just like us? I don't see it.

  • What will it take?

[Read the article: Ron Suskind, George W. Bush and the Aug. 6, 2001, PDB]

Seriously.... at this point, Chimpie could have flown those planes into the WTC and Pentagon himself and Republicans would still protect and praise their idiotic, fratboy, monkey-puppet.

The American spirit has been reduced to glowing embers, stamped out by political partisanism, hypocrisy, fear, corruption and intolerance. It's time to re-structure our government, making private campaign contributions illegal. It's time to obey the Constitution and keep religion out of politics. It's time to get this country back on track before we find ourselves unable to do so.

Our system of government has been abused by lobbyists, special interests and big corporation fat-cats, looking to give huge bundles of cash to any "chimp" who will get into office and fullfill their own selfish, greed-based wishes.

ignoring pre-9/11 intelligence, Katrina, WMD's, torture, murder - time and time again, the blatant incompetence of this current administration slaps us in the face and we do nothing.

Al-Zarqawi could have been taken out (killed) three years ago. Instead of doing the job when they should have, the administration used him as a "get out of jail free" card, killing him off to give Chimpie and his cronies their much needed shot in the arm.

The current administration is banking on keeping us scared, keeping us in the dark and feeding us lies and twisted facts. And we do nothing. Honestly, what will it take?

  • just a rumour...

[Read the article: If Bill O'Reilly were dictator]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I read somewhere that Bill O'Reilly and Ann Coulter share one testicle.... can anyone confirm this?

  • It won't begin...

    1. - N. Korea's Kim Jong-il never did anything to Bush's daddy...

    2. - there are no oil reserves in N. Korea...

    3. - Bush doesn't know where N. Korea is...

    4. - There's nothing in the Bible about N. Korea being the Holy land for the

    Christian right...

    5. - WMD's only matter if they DON'T exist....

    and the list goes on...

  • Double standard

[Read the article: Show us your... balls?]

The whole thing points to one STUPID fact...

It's RIDICULOUS!! "Guys Gone Wild" is as stupid and exploitive as "Girls Gone Wild". Watching college guys get drunk and have sex with each other and masterbate is no different that watching college (?) girls do the same thing.

In a messed up world like ours where heterosexual men can openly flaunt their perversion of arousal for underage girls rubbing each other's breasts in front of a camera, it's suddenly "eye-opening" when we see the same company selling DVD's of guys doing the exact same thing. It should've been just as "eye-opening" to see the girls doing it, too.

Paris Hilton filming herself choking down ejaculate launches her "career"... Colin Ferrel filming himself penetrate a black prostitute ruins his.

  • Can't do it..

[Read the article: The simple life's a bitch]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I can't watch it - " Whores on a Farm". Paris Hilton is the "Ann Coulter" of promiscuity... She needs to be ignored just as much as Ann does.
