@karenn22

The "new math" is asking the Rules Committee to retroactively change agreed-on rules governing past elections and expecting the committee to do so in the manner most favorable to oneself.

The rules genie is unpredictable, and probably best left in the bottle.

Alas, the rules committee didn't see it that way, despite Hillary's supporters being the largest block of committee members. I suspect this was because the committee realized that *only* seating the delegates would create an imbalance that didn't previously exist. It would disenfranchise the 44% of voters who chose "uncommitted" because they candidate they wanted to vote for wasn't on the ballot.

You may go ahead and argue that Hillary was very clever to keep her name on the ballot while four of her opponents removed their own, but this will not bolster your arguments about fairness.

@ChristopherK

Shawn simply tosses out random statements as fact, that are never backed up, that can lodge in the thoughts of Clinton supporters already frustrated that their candidate is losing.

Naked allegations are bad enough, but deliberate lies are even worse.

Anyone with a few minutes to spend can easily refute the allegation that Obama is a Muslim, but ShawnWM keeps on posting it nonetheless. Check his posting history, he's done it several times in just the last few hours.

I also noticed a number of his messages that were posted to multiple article threads. That's not discussion, that is propaganda carpetbombing.

I didn't say Obama was a Muslim.

Dat's right.

Almost time for the nuts to stop kicking a woman who actually DID something for them and time for the RNC and its subsidiaries to start kicking their useless, Muslim, race-baiting Messiah back to his Syrian Slumlord's mansion.

Who'd have ever thunk it would be such a pleasure to behold.

Do you deny he associated with Muslim Syrian Slumlords, even having one buy a home for him, a convicted criminal at that.

Please provide a reference to a believable source that says someone matching your description bought a house for Obama.

@ShawnWM

You appear to have been careless with the facts.

First, you originally said that the (then unnamed) Rezko had purchased a home FOR Obama. The article you provided tells a different story, and also mentions that the "slumlord" slur does not apply. The article also mentions that Hillary's campaign staff went to some trouble trying unsuccessfully to make this into an election issue. You really should be more careful when selecting articles to "prove" your assertions.

You also said that the "slumlord" was convicted, but this also is not true. His trail is still in progress.

I'll admit that Rezko doesn't seem to be the most savory character, but such people tend to seek out politicians. You may remember another unsavory character named Jim McDougal who had dealings with the Clintons. FWIW, McDougal was actually convicted of crimes.

That aside, the above seems to have been an attempt to divert attention from my refutation of your assertion that you never said Obama was a Muslim, even though the post I found cleary shows you doing so only hours ago today.

Original article: Viva Hillary Clinton!

@AlecsMom

I watched the news this AM and a number of Hillary supporters in FL were outraged, just outraged at having their election result in delegates with 1/2 vote each. One woman shook her head in disbelief at the outlandish tactics of the DNC and stated something to the effect that the GOP must be laughing at us.

I suspect that many of the more dramatic moments seen on MSM's alleged news shows are deliberate acting for the benefit of the TV cameras. It's easy for people who do this to get on TV because the TV crews seek them out and the producers select the more "interesting" clips for their shows.

@Msakel

And the Obama followers, together with Koppelman, were elated this weekend to learn that not only did The Chosen One grab ALL the "Uncomittted" in Michigan(!), but was given the green light to steal yet another 4 delegates from Clinton's camp to ensure the "democratic" spirit of the DNC lives on!

You seem to be trying to portray this as some kind of evil plot by Obama, but it was Hillary who started the process that resulted in this decision.

Obama didn't "grab" anything. The rules committee decided that it was appropriate to grant him those delegates to avoid giving an unfair advantage to Hillary.

Hillary opened the can of worms the FL and MI delegates. All of the candidates, including Hillary, had agreed in advance that those delegates would not be seated. Four of the candidates withdrew from the MI ballot in compliance with their pledge to not participate in that election. Hillary declined to withdraw and explained that it didn't matter because the MI delegates would not be seated.

Hillary subsequently reversed herself and demanded that the FL and MI delegates be seated. Obama did not request any action from the rules committee. It was Hillary who claimed that the rules had produced a flawed result that needed to be fixed. She claims she did this entirely out of concern for disenfranchised voters. It was just too bad for Obama that Hillary had left her name on the MI ballot.

The rules committee didn't think that retroactively awarding delegates only to Hillary was fair, so they chose a compromise that they thought was better. They did this even though Hillary's supporters were the largest voting block on the committee.

@Laurel962

I think it's no so much a religious thing as an "environmentalist=pussy" thing.

IMO, one the the greatest marketing triumphs of all time was establishing the meme that one must go up to one's eyeballs in debt buying junk one doesn't need to be "a real man (or woman)".
