Sorry all you Hillary Haters, but a joint ticket is THE BEST option to WIN in November.
Perhaps, but how would it work when they take office? Can we afford to have a VP who resents the President?
Not even the Lord God Obama thinks or claims to say at any rate we should do nothing at all.
Try suggesting something that makes sense. IMO, Tancredo wants to spend a lot of money on something that will be of little practical benefit beyond being an election-time talking point for himself.
Because prisons don't rely on only the fences to keep prisoners inside. Fences slow down would-be escapees enough to make them easy targets for armed guards.
Then don't watch TV. I stopped watching TV over ten years ago, and I'm amazed at how much my desire for useless crap has diminished.
IMO, the primary function of TV is to make you want to run out and spend money. Stop letting the TV tell you what you're supposed to need to be happy.
... is that saying things are wonderful only works when things are mostly OK. The economy obviously sucks and people are hurting, so trying to pretend that Republican policies have created prosperity won't work any more. They need a new line of BS.
. I lived in NJ, which actually has a better public transportation system than most states, and everyone I know still found it impossible to get anywhere regularly without a car. Driving is a reality and necessity for the majority of people who live outside the 5 or so major cities. The sooner you can understand that the better.
OK, but how do we get out of the "We can't do it today" trap? I also live in NJ, and I see us making the problem worse every day.
We're never going to get out of this hole if all we ever do is dig it deeper. What do you recommend as a first step toward a world that can operate without huge amounts of cheap oil?
If Hillary doesn't win, I'm voting for McCain.
Left unsaid: I'll be voting for McCain even if Hillary does win.
On the other hand, I'm sure she'd be willing to change in time for the convention.
Yes. As many times as necessary.

Clinton: It'd be 'terrible mistake' to pick McCain over Obama
(CNN) -- Hillary Clinton on Wednesday reiterated her vow to stay in the Democratic presidential race, but she said it would be a "terrible mistake" for her supporters to vote for John McCain over Barack Obama.
I keep getting this image of Hillary as Wile E. Coyote...
I've long suspected that Hillary has been ordering her campaign tricks from that ACME catalog.
Hillary said:
"I'm going to work my heart out for whoever our nominee is. Obviously, I'm still hoping to be that nominee, but I'm going to do everything I can to make sure that anyone who supported me ... understands what a grave error it would be not to vote for Sen. Obama."
Nonetheless, we have alleged Hillary supporters claiming that they'll vote for McCain if Clinton doesn't win the Democratic nomination.
What puzzles me is how people who insist Hillary would be the best choice for President could be so scornful of her judgement about the relative merits of Obama and McCain.
My suggestion to anyone who doesn't understand why Obama's camapign and his positively unhinged supporters have alienated so many people - including Hillary supporters - is to sober up and take a look around.
I think that the most obnoxious participants in these public forums are Republican trolls trying to foment discord. This goes for both the alleged Obama supporters and the alleged Hillary supporters.
Regardless of whether or not I am right, I refuse to attribute to either candidate the statements of posters who are known only by pseudonyms. Obnoxious statements could easily have been made by people trying to embarrass the candidate they superficially claim to support.
I really will not be surprised if there is a complete Senate and House overhaul this coming Nov. That will include Democrats as well. People are that fed up with Democrats and Republicans.
I don't share your optimism, but I certainly share your hope.
Edwards's endorsement of Obama at this time is actually infuriating to average Democrats who have been saying in no uncertain terms since February in important primaries that they do not want Obama to be the nominee.
If "average Democrats" don't want Obama to be the nominee, then how did Obama manage to win all those delegates?
The only reason I can think of casuing Naral to so obviously shill for Obama (especially in the timing of the announcement) is because Obama bribed Naral with access to his extensive mailing list of donors. ...
Ahh, and since this is the only reason you can think of, you want the rest of us to accept it as established fact?
... this board will suddenly receive many posts from purported steelworkers expressing their dissatisfaction with the union's action.
Could it be that the ill effects of embracing charlatans like Steve Milloy are finally taking their toll?
Perhaps, but I think this is just one aspect of a more general problem: Persistent pursuit of policies that benefit only special interests and do great harm to the rest of us.
You didn't vote for Bush either time, but you're going to vote for McCain?
Good luck with that. I've seen countless posts from purported Hillary supporters claiming they would vote for McCain if Hillary didn't win the nomination. I have not seen one of them explain why McCain's position(s) on any significant issue(s) is preferable to Obama's.
"Track Record".
Absolutely *NONE* of the predictions the Republicans have made about the Iraq war have been correct. Zero. Zip. Nada.
