Just to be clear, Obama is doing all right in a number of areas. Bus as always he's cautious to a fault and much more seeking of compromise.
He's convinced that Americans want to see him cordially producing and working with Republicans. It will never happen, and he's always been flat-out wrong about this.
So nothing will be done so we can get along, while the Party and the country get rolled again for it.
Karl Rive would never, ever pass up an opportunity like this, of course not. Of course it's ugly and makes the opposition shamefully crippled to the shame of the entire country. He'd love to take those downsides to see Democrats so weakened.
Yet we refuse to swim in that sea of reality. We writhe with the shame of weak weenies and the country is horribly failed in duty. I'll take the ugly knifing with the blood on the floor every time to not go through that. I grew up some time ago, President Obama.
Hope all is well, you looked very good in a recent image I saw of you with Pam Spaulding.
I'm trying figure out why the Obama people would work so hard to keep the truth hidden here, and I'm fairly sure it isn't an aversion to the details of gory torture, or that this episode would puncture American exceptionalism pretty well.
It would "harm" and "deflate" the CIA and other intelligence agencies if the truth were plain. I disagree, but they howl with objection, so Obama folds.
The Iraq war grinds on, and I am not sure it is over until we get out. We have yet to do so. AfPak is a nightmare that will go on for decades. We have a massive military-industrial complex.
Obama always bows and scrapes before all of it. People starve in the streets but $60 billion goes to Iraq this year, it simply must be so.
I never heard in the campaign how Obama would be such a diligent Defense/Intelligence kiss-ass. How is that important for the country? It isn't, of course. It means our Brave New Warrior of Hope tried to make as few enemies as possible. Again.
Over and over we see this, as little change as possible. Heh, you think healthcare is daring change? Right.
We fought for a lot better than this, fought real hard, and I am down. Democrats, my people, are terrible harmful chumps. I doubt we make it to three hundred years as a country.
