I am not a concern troll. I am a Democrat. I would LOVE to talk about McCain and his despicable treatment of his wife. I think we should stop bitching at one another and start trashing McCain. Right now, my feelings about Sen. Obama are inconsequential. I may not like Obama, but I do not want to live through World War III.
I hate when I hear people fawning over how McCain is such and honorable man. An honorable man leaves the mother of his children. He discarded this woman when she needed him and he threw her away like garbage. If he is a fine human being, then humanity has really fallen low. I would say he has a lot of balls to tell me that I should not be able to marry my partner, but walking out on his disabled wife was a bitch move worthy of biggest coward. How dare he tell me that my partner and I are not worthy of the covenant of marriage but he can go marry a pill popping air head heiress. The only thing worse than that is Newt Gingrich serving his cancer stricken wife with divorce papers when she was on her death bed. I would never do this to my partner, but those two can get married and ignore the "in sickness and in health" vow for the next broad. And, the woman who marries these men are equally as bad. I hope these worthless broads are victims of the old adage that "the position of other woman is one that is always waiting to be filled."
I was pissed about the Obama thing before, but I know that a McCain presidency would result in a catastrophe here and abroad. And, I do not care if someone calls be an ageist, I am concerned about his mental acuity and how it will continue to disintegrate as he gets older. He has already started exhibiting behavior of someone who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's. I may need to have MY head examined for even think of supporting McCain because I was angry over the insults the Obama supporters hurled. As much as I feel for the individuals who are devastated by Alzheimer's, I do not think we should be giving them access to nuclear weapons.
I am just saying that sniping will not help bring Clinton supporters into the fold. Running a national campaign takes volunteers, interns, and paid staff. I worked on a campaign when I was a junior in college. I had to leave for two months because I was studying in Paris. I came back to New York to work for the campaign at crunch time. I was jet lagged, got no sleep, little opportunity to shower, and was working in close quarters with the rest of the staff. If someone talked down to me under those conditions, I would have punched them in the eye. Not because I am a whiner, but because the stress of a national campaign is no place from that. As a member of the military, I think you know that while you and the members of your unit probably fight like siblings, the absence of basic respect would erode unit cohesion. I am not saying anyone would work to sabotage the unit, but it would not be good and it would be a distraction. Forgive me if I am totally off base on that comparison because I have never served in the military.
We all need to dial it down. I never believed that people who did not support Sen. Clinton were racist or bad people. I believe in our democracy and as misguided as I think Republicans are, I would never begrudge them the right to support their candidate of choice. The sun shines on the wicked and the righteous. The same laws that protect Republicans' right to vote protect my right to vote. You said that you think I do not believe in the democratic process, but that could not be further from the truth. Irrespective of my disappointment over Sen. Clinton's loss, the established rules of the primary should be respected. I wish the Republican Party had not been permitted to craft the rules of one of those primaries, but those are the rules. I just want the party to maneuver this so that Florida and Michigan Clinton supporters, with whom Sen. Obama cannot win, do not feel left out.
Have you noticed that no one is biting at your "troll" bait? Stop it. You are like a child.
I think you should read what I said a little closer. And, I will not continue to try to get into this with you because there is little space to try to cram a discussion of civil procedure (which is most definitely an appellate issue), finer points of constitutional law, or Supreme Court rulings. This is not the appropriate forum. I gave a very watered down version of why Clinton is not qualified to be on the Supreme Court. In short: she does not have the experience. You, my friend, are totally out of your depth. I would suggest we continue this argument with you, but you just do not know what you are talking about. Just stop. I will not argue my credentials with you because it is impossible to verify them, you are adamant that I am dumb because I do not like Obama, and because I know who I am, what I do, and how hard I worked to get here. Continue ranting about me.
