Who the Hell to Do You Think You Are EJH?

Don't you dare tell me that Obama has suffered discrimination or has the same experience as me. He hasn't? I cannot deny that the man has suffered discrimination because it is highly unlikely that he never has. I would say it is impossible because I think we all have been discriminated against irrespective of whether or not that discrimination has caused a material change our lives.

When people say that Obama is a black American as opposed to a biracial American, it makes me think that though the "one drop rule" of the Black Codes of the Reconstruction Era. The one drop rule may not be de jure but it is apparently de facto. What is wrong with him being biracial? He has a white mother and a black father? I know for a fact that while we black people must accept Obama as black, white people would laugh uproariously if he self-identified as white. I would challenge every white person on this site to truthfully say that if Obama self-identified as white that pronouncement would be met with derision, questions about his sanity, people asking if he doesn't own a mirror, and, most of all, laughter. Why must I own Barack Obama as a black man if white people won't own him as a white man? He is equal parts black and white. Why does he get shoved down my throat.

If you think my issues with his policies or his lack of explanation of them are things I should just brush off, well then you are welcome to continue drinking his Kool Aid. My issues with him are grounded in policy and the way he has offended me. My concerns for how he will navigate the choppy waters of governing are quite reasonable. He is going to have to deal with hundreds of people who do not kiss his feet and beg for crumbs from his table and play the Mary Magdelene to his Jesus. But, he will always have dick riders like you and Chris Matthews to fawn over him, so I guess that is something.

If he won the race, I would not think of it as "taking back the White House," as you say. He would take back the White House for YOU and other Obama followers. I think he and his campaign and his followers have excluded me from that group. He is for you, not for me.

Senator Clinton could never convince me to support Obama. If she rang my doorbell with that nonsense, I would slam the door in her face. I should support someone who has spat in my face? Sorry. I have suffered a thousand indignities in my life at the hands of others, I will not inflict another on myself.

I am as liberal as they come, but I have my limits. I never thought in a million years that I would consider giving money to a Republican; I won't even be friends with a Republican not simply because they hold values contrary to mine, but because they actively support discrimination. My feelings for Obama have nothing to do with her. I like her because I prefer her as a candidate. It has nothing to do with Obama except in that he is her opponent. I would have the same feelings for him if he were running for dog catcher.

Face it: when people are dismissive, like you were to me, they push other people away. That is not something Senator Clinton did, that is something for which people like you can claim all the credit.

You Obama fans hate people who support Senator Clinton. That is fine with me because my hatred for Senator Obama has been stoked so that it burns with the heat of a thousand hells. But since you and others hate Senator Clinton and those who do not want to join your cult, why do want us now? You have mocked us, condescended to us, patronized us, belittled us. You expect people to bend over and take it up the ass for the sake of what you would have us believe is part unity? Please.
