Original article: Betrayed by Obama

@david sugarman

Well, if you look at history, black people have had a long history of being named. First, we were niggers (and we still are), then we were negros, then we were colored, then we were "you people," then we were black, then we were African-American (which I refuse to use), then we were people of African descent, and on and on. It comes from a problem that genuine black Americans have that Barack Obama does not have: we were snatched from Africa, with no knowledge or records of the countries from which we came. Obama has a luxury that I do not have and that is that not only does he know from whence his father came, but he can go to the village and visit family. That is why I am so puzzled when he is called black when, in fact, he is a biracial American White-Kenyan man.

Why don't you go up to a black man or any man whose father deserted his family and tell him to get over it and be more like your sainted Obama? See how well that works out for you. It hurts when you feel your father does not want you, when your mother has no familial support so the family had to struggle (Obama's mother had a family structure to help). How dare you tell someone that he should just get over it? Can you Obama Kool-Aid drinkers just go to Obamatown and stop telling black people how to live and how awful we are and how we should be more like your "black" savior?

What is this business about you guys being anti-choice?

So-called partial birth abortion is actually called Intact dilation and extraction (IDX or intact D&X), also known as intact dilation and evacuation (intact D&E), dilation and extraction (D&X), intrauterine cranial decompression. I do not know why so many of you think that you are in a position to judge when, where, and why a woman terminates a pregnancy. Are we all going to be peeking between a woman's legs while her legs are in the stirrups? The bans on these procedures impose law makers' uninformed opinions on a medical procedure. What's worse and most obvious is that these laws are meant to roll back what is left of Roe v. Wade. I would encourage everyone to listen to oral argument of the last Supreme Court case concerning this issue. It was farcical and frightening to listen to these justices and lawyers and trying to parse out what was medically appropriate and necessary.

I do not know if it is true, but I heard Obama said that women who have these procedures should undergo counseling beforehand? Women who seek abortions have to scale so many hurdles to get their abortions. They are forced to endure a waiting period, be given frightening and often inaccurate information about the consequences of an abortion. Eighty percent of the counties in this country do not have abortion providers. This issue is personal for me because my best friend's mother was on one of those wanted posters anti-choice groups put out. Her name, address, home and work numbers, license plate numbers, the names and schools of her children, and work place were listed. My friend and her family had to go out wearing bullet proof vests. So, before you go on with your rhetoric about how horrible these procedures are, think about reproductive rights, the women who are trapped by the lack of clinics (that women have to have ghettoized health care is outrageous), and the women who are seeking to exercise their rights without interference from the rest of us.

Oh, I see, I am black, I defend the hurt feelings of people who grew up in fatherless households, so I too must not know my father. Sorry David Duke, I come from a two parent home. You need to get over your racism and your stereotypes of the black family.

I rarely call someone a racist. I will say a statement is racist or an act is racist, but usually not a person. Stop calling yourself David Sugarman, call yourself David Duke. You have earned the title, unlike the accomplishments I earned in life which must have been the product of a government handout to a stupid, lazy, black kid with no father.

Let's end this here because it is just going to get uglier because I am going to keep calling you by your proper name and calling you on your shit.
