Usually I am all with Glenn Greenwald but this time I think he is being unfair. The Democrats DO NOT have a majority in congress or the Senate in anyway is useful. They cannot - even all voting as a block - over-ride any of W's ignorant vetoes. Their are only 2 or 3 Republicans with brains in either house at the moment. The rest are either religious nutters or war-profiteers. And just exactly what are the Democrats supposed to do to make you all happy in this point? Are you seeking to undermine them further? I really find some of the left-wing loonies almost as brainless as the right-wing loonies. Think. Try some wisdom. Try looking at the reality of the situation. I'm currently thinking that Nixon and Reagan were progressives in comparison to our current administration. That is what the very very slight majority of Democrats in both houses are dealing with. Why not try some supportive behavior. I write letters to our Republican Senator as well as our Democratic Senator. And I don't just stay in state when I have something to say. Try positive-thinking and support instead of undermining and nastiness?

I am so sympathetic with Nancy Pelosi - I cannot believe she does not even get any support from some of you who should be supporting the incredible effort she is making. Be fair - did you actually watch the program? Both Jamie and Adam crashed when they tried to land with NO assistance. Both landed relatively safely in the simulator with very expert guidance. That is they had a very skilled flight instructor giving them detailed verbal support.

They never claimed that they had proven that a non-pilot could land a plane without assistance. They did prove that someone who did not panic and who could follow instructions from someone who knew exactly detail by detail how to land a plane could plausibly do so.

I am sick and tired of hearing people complain about the Clintons' for no other reason than that they were in office previously. They did good work when they were in office - remember? Can the press - especially salon - shift over to viewing the elections as job -interviews for a critical position instead of a soap opera review or spaghetti monster help-us = "a presidential playoff"(heard on tv on Saturday via some dorky football color guy). This election is about getting someone with a brain and effective strategies in office - not about emotional responses, hair color, style, or ... whatever. Get real already people.

I like that the pharmaceutical industry does view women's sexuality as important enough to make money from... I think. I agree with several of the other letter writers in the following:

1. Some women would like some help in addition to that provided by their loving significant others in attaining satisfactory orgasm (I know personally two women for whom this salve would be an added happiness).

2. Not all women's sexual dissatisfaction is caused by their hormones or lack thereof - but as I get older I hear more about this as an issue for those of us approaching or past menopause and in happy committed relationships regardless.

3. Working it out with a lover is ideal when possible. The salve idea might help lovers in this.

I'm very sorry for people like brightstar who are so bitter about themselves. If it helps, brightstar, I know many intelligent men in very successful relationships with intelligent women. It requires work and committement from both parties to similar goals vis-a-vis money, kids, sex, lifestyle, etc. Hard work. Submission is consensual only and can work both ways but it must be negotiated not demanded.

I'm baffled that some of you just sit there behind your computers waiting to savage Hillary Clinton no matter what she says or does. I don't know how any of the Democratic candidates make it through the day given the shear unfair sliminess of the opposition.
