[Read the article: Hillary enters death-with-dignity phase]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]There are a few problems with Hillary's statement.
First she equates hard working with being white and uneducated.
Then it also states that in essence, that Hillary's supporters would much rather support someone with the same skin tone whose policies are opposed to her own, than someone who happens to hold pretty much the same policies as her who just happens to be black.
IE: She just called the hard working, white working class in America racist - a charge which in itself is racist because it makes a judgement on a whole segment of the American population based on race. This is part of what resulted in a portion of the blue collar white populations coming on and posting that they were voting Obama.
Of course, this judgement is not unique to Hillary, it is indicative as to the way the media in America views whites that race is considered to be one of the big issues amongst whites when it comes to who they will vote for.
And just as obviously it is wrong, once you move beyond what idiots try to post online as "Or else" threats. The new "silent majority" out there is not racist, sexist or any other form of ist, it is going to vote for the best available candidate. Why? Because there are simply bigger issues in contention than whether or not your ego got bruised.

Okay
[Read the article: Hillary enters death-with-dignity phase]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Here's dignity for you: She keeps winning.
Nope. She is behind on every metric. If she kept winning, she would be ahead. Not behind.
I don't get this, I really don't. She wins the bigger states, she polls better in the states we have to win, she carries Latinos, which we have to carry, and yet the pundits--like it was their decision--keep hammering at her to get out of the race.
Those states where we have to win? that is because we limit the states that are in contention by ignoring the other states.
Because Obama has outraised McCain, and can thus outspend him a more agressive 50 state policy means that the Democrats can drive McCain to spend funds in states where Hillary would just not be viable, making the race easier in the big states while possibly turning more states purple.
Has this ever even happened before? RFK had less of a shot than Hillary does. Did anybody tell him to get out of the race?
They probably did.
Your guy leads by a handful of delegate votes, racked up mainly in red states where few people live, and which we will never carry.
Are you sure about that?

[Read the article: McCain campaign baits Obama on Clinton slurs]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Obama/Hillary wouldn't work - Hillary endorsed McCain.
What Obama needs is a VP who has the respect of Hillary's supporters, who isn't Hillary herself.

[Read the article: Hillary enters death-with-dignity phase]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Young and with a degree generally means we have somewhat better economic prospects.
Our major source of debt is student loans, and our earnings are higher than those of unskilled blue collar labour. Qualifications trump experience in wage negotiations.
Our earnings stability is also better, because a young person with an education is a more desirable employee than a person who hasn't got an education who is nearing retirement.
Further required skills have taken a much younger slant, with IT being something that has really taken off in the last 20 years. While a lot of older workers are fluent with computers, there is a general perception that younger workers are more likely to pick up newer programs more quickly.
Of course this is not about who is comparatively better off, or who is economically responsible. If it was the older generation would acknowledge that the greed is good culture of the Reagan years didn't exactly make their case for being more "responsible" than anyone else.
No this is about trying to deliver a slam on the same generation that will end up paying the debts the older generation is currently racking up. A generation that is willing to vote for a tax cut has no call talking to a generation that is going to end up paying for that tax cut about economic responsibility!

West Virginia
[Read the article: Can Barack Obama win West Virginia?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]West Virginia needs to put aside its religion and its personal pride. It needs to think about where it is headed because whoever wins the general, unless something changes West Virginia won't.

Let me get this straight
[Read the article: Why Ronald Reagan didn't completely suck]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]According to the article:
Ronald Reagan didn't completely suck because he altered America's culture in such a way as to allow the current administration to come to power and drive America into a depression while fighting two wars and turning the media into its personal propaganda whore.
So in effect: Because Reagan managed to suck long past when he died, he doesn't entirely suck?

[Read more letters about this article: Here]And when we point out that everything you claim is merely projecting your inadequacies onto everyone who is not, you know, a batshit insane Hillary cultist, you will whine about how we are picking on you.
Oh, and a funny thing happened when Hillary started campaigning - she lost the educated vote first. Any claims of Obama's supporters being idiots? Needs to be measured against that.
Oh, and another funny thing happened as this campaign started coming to a close - Hillary's supporters, those proud pragmatic people who vote policy over personality, well they decided to start loudly proclaiming that they support McCain.
Because you know, they were never actually about policy or ability, they were just about voting against young and black people.
