He seems to think that by not voting for a given candidate you are penalising them. Because you know, the default is vote Hillary, not "Choose the candidate you like best."

Because you know, she is entitled to the Democratic nomination.

    cythera45 11:11 AM

After basically bashing Obama unceasingly, accusing Obama's supporters of being overly hostile.

In fact, just read cythera45's posts, at least half of them are bemoaning the sheer nastiness of the Obama camp.

The other half are accusing Obama of taking bribes from Rezko.

    whitecat 11:52 AM

Moaning about all of the Hillary haters.

And that is not even going into the various Anons talking about how Obama's followers are hate filled radical lefty loonies.

  • How it will work out:

    Hillary wins.

While I feel Obama is the better of the two Hillary is the establishment choice while Obama is the perpetual "Nice boy."

Lets face it, the one issue that hurts Obama more than anything else is also his strongest point: His rhetoric about reaching across the aisle.

That rhetoric leaves one with the uncomfortable feeling that seven years of corruption, human rights abuses, incompetence, and absolute stupidity, will get swept under the carpet.

That is my biggest argument against Obama.

Hillary unfortunately, has the same problem - but at least should she win there would be an element of revenge involved. That the Republicans dislike Hillary intensely, to be honest I view as being in her favour.

That said: Revenge is not really a good enough reason to back someone who has an iffy relationship with the first Amendment (Flag burning, and computer games censorship) and who has voted in favour of two major errors in American foreign policy (Iraq and Iran.)

While my emotions say Hillary, while my sense of humour almost demands Hillary, I am left ardently supporting the candidate that didn't call Putin "Soulless."

  • Gravitas and hope.

[Read the article: How will it all end?]

Gravitas is a dark emotion. It is the emotion of sorrow, of weighted down despair. It is the emotion of dignity, it is true, but the dignity of the wounded.

It is not anger, or hate, or love or joy. It is the enemy of hope and of progress, it is a force that stifles and is to be overcome.

    Gravitas, is a trap.

So you are saying that being a member of a company's board is NOT working for a company?

    Eish.

constantly calling the Obama supporters a bunch of little children who will not have the follow-through to support their candidate in the general elections, isn't exactly being "respectful." Nor is proclaiming that people are only voting for Obama because they are black.

Rather than not voting, if Obama loses vote Green.

Okay, you will get accused of throwing away your vote and all of that, but really, if you aren't going to vote anyway you may as well help build up the third party and adress the root of America's current political problem.

Seriousness is a kind of despair though - and I don't think America needs seriousness right now.

There are times when you need someone with gravitas - a time of panic calls for someone who can bring that sense with them.

Then there are times when you need someone with you would call levity for want of a better word.

You need someone quick, light and able to crack a smile with warmth. You need someone who isn't entirely serious, because someone who is overly serious will just get bogged down in the size of your current problems.

Hillary, I feel would have made an excellent president - in 2000. Right now? You need someone with less gravitas.

Seeking a position as a CEO:

My major previous experience includes being married to a CEO who was moderately successful.

About 40% of your board already hates my guts along with a fair chunk of your customers.

I feel that the guys who your company owes money to are soulless villains and I will tell them so to their faces.

She voted in favour of the war, her negatives amongst the electorate are sky high, and her foreign policy is basically the same as the last disasters' but with an added edge of being snotty to America's trade partners.

Further, her major error in the last four years looks like it might just bankrupt America.

Plus, the alternate candidate: Obama, is at least well liked, is far from an "Entry level" candidate, having been a Senator TOO.

If we are going to argue on "Who would you pick as a CEO" I would go with the salesman over the veteran, thankyou very much.

Pointing out an argument from the other side of the debate isn't saying that all people on the other side of the debate are engaged in using it.

Read through the letters and tell me that some Hillary supporters aren't using that argument to minimise the impact of Obama winning the smaller states.

And note I say some, not all Hillary supporters try that tactic.

Oh, and coming from the people that termed Oprah a traitor to her gender for voting Obama? Trying to claim that Obama's supporters are using the race card is a bit rich.

Tell you what: We won't vote for Powell (A Republican) either.

    How does that sound?
