observing the American political culture I would be confused and frightened to know that a nuclear superpower is in the control of a broken political system and a population divided between people trying to use common-sense and intelligence and people driven by hate, ignorance, and fear.

I would put America on a "watch list" fearing that such hatred towards a new president trying to meet the needs of his majority constituency and to honor the reasons he was elected to office is endemic of wholesale mental illness.

As a foreigner, I might be watching an historic event featuring the political destruction of a once-great nation.

Healthcare, public transportation, finance, manufacturing, and our two-party system - all broken thanks to extremism and ignorance and greed.

The world is watching, waiting for the collapse of our country, and the right wing spin and lie industry keeps on cranking away.
