Fiscal Stimulous Is A Big Joke

[Read more letters about this article: Here]The rebates that we will receive will not stimulate an economic recovery. Rather, they will be spent on everyday items like groceries and gasoline.
Treasury Secretary Paulson said, "Wait until the stimulous checks are mailed out" and we'll see an improvement in the economy.
The cost of staples and fuel has risen so fast, and at such a high percentage, that people will not be buying high-definition TVs, cars, or luxury items.
Our economy has been based upon a house of cards, and with no oversight by this miserable, lying, Republican Administration.

It should be required reading for anyone contemplating voting for John McCain.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Once upon a time, Dick Cheney was convinced that Iraq had WMD and he stated that numerous times immediately before we invaded that country.
Apparently, he had information to the contrary (as did everyone else) but that did not deter him. Then he went on to say that the abandoned trailers found in Iraq were "mobile weapons labs" while ignoring the fact that the trailers were not used for that purpose according to every US intelligence source. Additionally, photos of the trailers revealed them to be made with canvas sides rendering them useless for the super-clean environment for biological research.
Cheney has the ability to lie while appearing to be honest and forthright. He should be an actor.

"Iraq has weapons of mass destruction", a statement of apparent fact that drove us to attack Iraq, was a lie. Cheney stated that directly, without uncertainty.
At that time, it was the opinion of the UN Inspection Teams in Iraq that Saddam no longer possessed such weapons.

We didn't attack Iraq because we wanted to change its government (or so we were told). We attacked Iraq because we had to get rid of WMD.
There was no WMD but the idiot in the White House had to try to put a good face on it.
Republicans overwhelmingly support this war. I don't think they are capable of learning anything or changing their thinking.

What I don't like is the current crop of unisex-looking models and actresses that are in favor these days. Are pretty women now banned from leading roles in movies?
And don't get me started about female models. These pathetic creatures must be miserable, having to forego eating normal food in order to maintain the sickly toothpick look.
