The System Is Broken

I believe that our political system is broken. The "fear factor" permeating our elected representatives is restricting their ability to do what they were elected to do.

The Republican "fear machine" has been able to muster the lunatic Christian Right and to play upon the fears of the feeble-minded.

Their campaign whereby they continually say "we're fighting terrorists in Iraq so we will not have to fight them here" is PURE B.S. It supposes that the enemy in Iraq is composed of all of the terrorists in the world when, in fact, much of the resistance in Iraq comes from the Iraqis themselves.

There are more than enough terrorists in the world for them to bring the fight to the USA. Our actions in Iraq actually increases the chance of that happening.

The weakness of the Democrats is a shame.

Thankful For Freedom From Religion

I thank God that I am not a religious person.

The Record Shows .....

WMD were not found. Cheney's biological weapons trailers were useless, rusted out hulks, Saddam was not trying to buy nuclear materials from Nigeria.

That is the bottom line.

Dems Need To Tell The Story.

The Democrats need to keep telling the facts about how we were manipulated into the Iraq war by the lies of Bush, Cheney, and others.

Then, they must vote in accordance with the wishes of the majority of American voters. Hold Bush accountable for a timetable in Iraq. It can be a secret timetable, so not to give intel to the enemy, but there must be a timetable for withdrawal.

The Dems have the power but they forget what would happen if the shoe was on the other foot. If the Repukes were in the majority they wouldn't care about the Dems.

Remember that the Republicans are for Party first, country second.

That message must be delivered by the Dems loud and clear.

Now Is The Time

The Democrats are not doing what we elected them to do.

They are the majority because MOST VOTERS WANT AN END TO THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION'S STUPIDITY AND MISDEEDS.

So here's a message to the Dems: Do what you were elected to do and stop playing Mr. Nice Guy!

Ask The Iraqis

Someone should poll the Iraqi citizens to get their assessment of "progress" in Iraq.

Of course 30,000 more troops in Baghdad will help reduce the violence but that is TEMPORARY.

The Bushies don't want that to be known, of course, so they are spinning this in a way to make us think that real progress is being made.

Ask the Iraqis if progress is being made.

GOP Stupidity At Work

Americans are finally seeing the true GOP and they do not like what they see.

GOP Party corruption and the phoney Christian War Mongering Right set the stage for the GOP defeats in the last election, and more GOPers will be defeated in the next election.

Gearge Bush in a flight suit says it all.

The GOP Thanks God For 9/11

9/11 saved (temporarily) the GOP by offering them a boogeyman to instill fear in the American public.

With Russia no longer a threat, and China supplying shiploads of goods to the USA, the GOP needed something to scare us with.

Terrorists with boxcutters are not our biggest worry. Our own GOP is supplying enough threats to our freedoms to make any terrorist look tame in comparison.

We're Holding The Bag - Again

Once again consumers are having to pay for the packaging industry's greed.

Remember the pull tab? These things were thrown everywhere and they cut bare feet on the beach.

Look at the amount of plastic wasted in bubble packaging.

Styrofoam items will pollute the Earth for centuries.

And the list goes on, and the packaging industry pays no penalties for their misdeeds.

All costs associated with managing this waste should be charged back to the businesses causing the problem. None of these costs should pass through to the consumer.

Pure Lunacy

"Gay marriage" does not matter. It is not important. It does not threaten marriage of men and women. It will not cost lives, or money, or pollute, or cause global warming or cause disease.

The issue exists only as a way to divide us.

The First Casualty Of War

Someone said "the first casualty of war is the truth" and Bush's Iraq War fits that exactly.

This Administration has been feeding us lies since before the Iraq invasion and we are still being lied to. And, the press continues to "play it safe" by publishing very little that is overtly anti-war.

What is the "average" Iraqi ctizen's life like now, as opposed to prior to the invasion?

Have we caused more deaths in Iraq than Saddam did?

Why are we selling arms to Middle Eastern countries when the entire region is FLOODED with arms and explosives?

Good Riddance

After Bush ends his term, the White House should be fumigated.

This Administration lied its way into office, into a war, and succeeded in dividing Americans as never before.

The Rove stench will be with us for some time.

It Can Happen Here

If you've wondered why Hitlers and Mussolinis are created look no further than the present-day GOP. Bush, Cheney, and Rove almost succeeded in their nefarious goal of a "permanent Republican Majority".

Those three words are enough to scare a majority of Americans into thinking twice before voting for Republicans.

If Rove is the GOP policy architect then Bush is merely the stooge carrying out marching orders from Rove and Cheney.

No wonder Americans and the rest of the world are disgusted with this Administration.

Good News

Any bad news about the Christian Right is good news indeed.

Who would've thought that the followers of Jesus would support a preemptive war and the killing of over 100,000 citizens.

Tuesday, August 14, 2007 10:33 PM

It Is Too Late

The Rovian tragedy unfolding in Washington will unfold just as if he were still there.

The damage is done. Bush's legacy is pretty well fixed and Rove can drift away, like a fart in the wind.

Sunday, August 19, 2007 04:31 PM

Bush's Legacy

Bush's idiotic invasion of Iraq has created a stronger Iran and a developing partnership between Iraq and Iran.

This, like everything Bush does, is a disaster.
