All your research fails to take account of one factor. I never cared before Clinton. I have always voted against someone, lesser of two evils. I have always considered myself a democrat, but the demonization of a brilliant compassionate woman by Obama's campaign, Obama supporters, and the MSM, without any outcry at the misogyny by Obama or the DNC have made me an independent. Obama's latest that he is busy with the general campaign, and I should just get over it, clinches it for me. If the Democrat party thinks so little of me then I will vote for an experienced military man who will keep me safe. This shrill, over the hill, stupid, hag votes in every primary and election in Pa. I still hold Spector accountable for Anita Hill. Ask your wife, if she ever forgets condescendion.
While your words take me aback, you hit the nail on the head. No wooing, no bones thrown, just bend over honey. You gave me a good laugh, and put more succinctly all the other women's comments. Thank you
Let the sweet young things, who so patronized everything we worked to give them, a level playing field, respect for a feminine perspective, worry about reproductive rights. As a shrill, shriven, old hag, I don't need Roe v Wade. With RU86, the morning after pill, abortions legal in many states and countries, I'm not worried about back alley abortions. Where can I go, green. I can start a new party, where my concerns, children, education, environment, get action, not patronizing pats on the head, throw the bitch a bone, then ignore promises. I can vote only for women on the ticket, and refuse to vote for men. I can refuse to vote for the scraps they give me.
I feel like Rip Van Winkle, awake after a long slumber. I haven't been so energized since I burned my bra. Time for a radical change, first the overwhelming male punditcy, then representation in government. The anger out there is palpable. Be afraid; be very afraid. Where can I go, anywhere but the Democratic Party.
You say do something constructive with my anger. I am. I am switching from Democrat to Republican.
Do they need our votes? What happened to the vaunted independents? The Republicans are holding steady for McCain, and still these Obama devotees trash us. Do I hear women appointees to half the power positions, more research on women's health issues, day care? Clinton as vice president would be nice with some deference to her experience, brains, and integrity. Four women associates on the Supreme Court would be pleasant, many more appointed to the lower benches. Women can play hardball with the best of them.We learned it back in the sixties. Thanks for reminding us to get in the game.
" SHE'S A WOMAN and a Hockey MOM and her husband is a union man so what more do you bitches want?"
I want to be treated with dignity and respect. This has become increasingly rare in the Democratic Party. Give McCain credit. He wants our votes, Obama's "get over it" shows his disdain for women. Choice seems clear with a filbuster proof Senate to keephim in check, McCain/Palin 2008
You trash and insult the Clinton's and their supporters. You foist an inexperienced man with no accomplishments as the nominee, and then call us racists when we don't like the choice. You allow misogyny to benefit your candidate, and when they complain tell them to get over it as if women had no other place to go. You act like you won the party nomination with a landslide;refuse to unify the party, and nominate the 18,000,000 vote getter as vice president. When your opponent grasps women's anguish at once again no woman on a presidentail ticket and selects Palin, you trash her like you trashed Hillary. Now when your losing do you admit mistakes, show why you would be better for the nation, no you moan and knash your teeth. You don't have the stomach for the compromise necessary to win or govern. You deserve to lose.
